I liked this place for a last minute date night, but didn’t love anything. The olives were great for a starter. I liked the pastas and salad. A nice ran last us on the porch ledge during dinner — apparently they can’t do pest control because they’re in the National Park. So great location but sometimes not able to get elsewhere.

I was so excited that Piccino opened a new location on the west side of the city! It’s just as good as the original. We had a great dinner when my mom was in town visiting. The pastas and drinks are always sublime. Also, the flower arrangement on the bar that night was so artistic and beautiful — I think they said the owner made it! So cool.

Enjoyed an absolutely perfect lunch with 3 women friends. The booth we were sat in was cosy and allowed gave us great separation, it was like being in a world of our own. Our waitstaff was discreet and helpful, giving us spot-on recommendations. We shared everything which worked out better than I could have imagined because it meant the arrival of dishes and pacing was % on point. All the food was fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked. I love the seasonal use of local ingredients, everything tasted sublime and I so enjoyed dining on peas and morels and stone fruit and all the top ingredients I don’t have the energy to source and prepare at home . At the end of the meal we were left in peace to chitchat without any attempt to hurry us away from our table, for which we were grateful. Thank you Piccino, for an amazing lunch.

Beautiful ambience and setting. It was lovely just walking through Presidio to arrive to the restaurant. Pasta and Pizza were spot on. Pavlova was not a traditional recipe but the sorbet was amazing.

Reserved for my mother’s birthday and all she got was a “Happy Birthday” from the host upon arrival. They didn’t even offered a birthday cake. We ordered a pasta and requested it without kale. The waiter brought it with kale and didn’t even noticed nor apologized.

Good spot for lunch if you’re near the Presidio. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals. My porchetta panuzzo was excellent.
The main issue is that the lunch menu is far more limited than the dinner menu. Not sure I would go back for another lunch.

We shared the pappardele pasta with braised beef ribs and a sausage pizza. They were both excellent. The Fails pinot noir by the glass was terrific. We had an apple crostada for dessert was very good. Service could not have been better. Highly recommended.

Was here for a corporate event, have heard good things about the original restaurant and was keen to try this new location. We had a fixed menu and the food was so-so, not super impressive, not sure if that is due the choice made by the host or just a reflection of the fare here. The a la carte looked pretty pricey. The conversations really echo through the place – it was loud.

After a long day exploring the Tunnel Tops, with my out-of-town friends, we wandered into the Presidio on our way to find a restaurant for dinner in the Marina. Just as we were admiring some of the enormous redwood trees, we realized a restaurant (Piccino) was tucked beneath them. What an incredible find! Marinated olives and cocktails, ahi crudo, the BEST lasagna I’ve ever had…it seems they recently opened but you would never know it based on the attentiveness of the staff and sophistication of the palate. I can see this being a future date night or a nice place to take your parents when you want to impress them. Or anyone really! I will be back.
