Welcome to Miguel’s Mexican Restaurant—serving Stockton since 1977! Our roots go back to 1970 when founder Miguel Herrera began at El Burrito’s in downtown Stockton. In 1977, he opened Miguel’s at our current location, and it’s been family-run ever since. Today, Miguel’s son, Michael, continues the tradition. Never been here before but I got a delivery order. I ordered the chile relleno and beef enchilada combo plate. The enchilada was good but the relleno was made with what looked and tasted like an Anaheim pepper. Never had that before and not sure how to feel about it. Also the salsa tasted like ketchup, and unfortunately I had put it on the food before tasting it. Salsa shouldn’t be made with ketchup.

Food was bomb, good Mexican food. Service was a bit slow but there was only one lady waiting tables and Ansswering phones. But definitely worth it. She was awesome and refilled our drinks before we could even ask. We got Chilequiles and a combination plate of chile relleno with an chicken enchilada and an order of gravy.

The interior is well-worn. warm, and clean; the food was good, and the service was excellent. Our waitress refilled my drink before it was completely empty without me even needing to get her attention.
I ordered a Miguel’s Grande Burrito with carne asada, and served wet, which meant gravy. My girlfriend got a combo plate, and we also got guacamole, gravy/cheese dip, and complimentary chips and salsa.
The burrito was huge, and delicious, and everything I ate I liked.
If you’re in Stockton and you like locally-owned restaurants, this one has been around for a while l, and for good reason.

I’ve come here 3xs with a friend and each time, the food tasted absolutely TERRIBLE. In addition, the food is WAY freaking OVERPRICED. When my friend mentions wanting to come here to eat, I cringe with disappointment. I have other friends who don’t like the food here either. And the restaurant, the restaurant itself is whooped. Super old and outdated. U want to pay for overpriced terrible food in an ugly environment, then go ahead and eat here. Straight garbage.

Our friends recently went there for breakfast.
So, after Dr appt, we went for breakfast.
First, we were greeted by a nice Gentleman .. with a nice smile, friendly , personable n attentive.
He gave us fresh chips n delicious salsa. We had seconds !
My hubby ordered Huevos Ranchero with eggs. He loved .. lots of onions.
I had Chorizo with eggs .. delicious n generous serving .. added salsa .. even better.
I took home my leftover, chips n salsa .. Hubby ate all his.
So happy we came back

I just feel a little bit ripped off after this child’s plate that I got for $13.50 excuse me $13.35 It tastes all right but I literally could have gotten twice as much for like $4 less a taco truck. Hell I could have got more food across the street at Carl’s Jr probably would taste better too. I absolutely cannot recommend Miguel’s to anybody sorry Miguel.theres nothing complementary on this plate. A smaller portion for a smaller price? Wow. Im just going to have to let this one go. You guys got me. Once. Itll never happen again
