First off, the service was exceptional. Our bartender/server, Stevie, absolutely made the evening. She had such a positive, upbeat attitude that created the perfect atmosphere for a laid-back but still special dining experience. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she really made us feel welcome. Honestly, I think Stevie deserves a promotion—her energy and attention to detail were top-notch.
As for the food, I was originally eyeing the pork chop, but unfortunately, they were out of pork that day. No worries though, I decided to go with the frenched chicken, and it was incredible. The flavor was so rich and tender—it honestly might have been one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in a while. Each bite was just perfect.
To top it off, I finished my meal with a cobbler for dessert, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the best cobbler I’ve ever had in my life. The balance of sweet and warm, with just the right amount of crunch on top—it was the perfect way to end a meal.
All in all, The Avery turned out to be a hidden gem, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a memorable experience.
Update: Been going here for weeks now due to travel for my job. The bartenders are great. Still rate this 5 stars.
Drunks the first night. Their Old Fashion is top notch.
Breakfast the next morning had substantial portions, and all of the food was cooked perfectly.
Dinner the following night with a family of 4 was really good.
The best part of the entire experience was the service. The manager checked on us multiple times, and offered some advice on places to visit during our stay. He was also very knowledgeable of the history of the downtown area.
The entire waitstaff was very professional, and worked well together to make sure all tables were serviced efficiently.
I truly believe service can make or break a meal. The food can be mediocre, but great service leaves a lasting impression. That said, this time we didn’t have to choose. The food came out absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.
Between the incredible service and the amazing food, it made for such a special breakfast with my girl. We will definitely be back!
