Three of us had a truly memorable lunch. Starters of seared scallops with black pudding for me a very generous and tasty prawn cocktail for my sister and my nephew said his smoked salmon was tremendous. The object on top of the salmon is a lemon wedge wrapped for ease of squeezing.
Mains were a wonderful shepherd’s pie and two mixed grills. The pic I took of the grills doesn’t do justice to the perfectly cooked steak, pork and chicken. Wonderful chips.
Restaurant is on the top floor of the Doubletree with very nice views.
The young gentleman who served us throughout our visit was absolutely first rate with the sort of tremendous service sadly lacking in lots of establishments today.

Thank you to Calista for looking after us on my birthday! We had a lovely afternoon tea and she took great care of us. Perfectly attentive and friendly, made sure we had everything we needed at all times and made it a great experience.

Definitely recommend the afternoon tea too! We are quite fussy and they were very kind and easy going when we wanted to change the sandwich options over the phone ☺️

A superb meal was enjoyed by my daughter, her gentleman and myself in this classy & contemporary steakhouse. Sourdough bread was made in house and delicious with cracked sea salted butter accompanied by herb infused olives that were delicious. Wheelers Crispy Calamari starter was superb with fresh sauce tartare (seemed like chopped capers and baby watercress really made a difference and a friend had colonel Mustard scotch egg starter that spent a very short time on the plate. I opted for a 12oz fillet steak cooked medium rare (to perfection) and was a melt in your mouth delight with a creamy cabbage and bacon side and fresh made Koffman potato fries were excellent. Battered onion rings were huge and literally the best I have ever eaten. One guest enjoyed a 6oz fillet steak served with roasted piccolo tomatoes and Koffman chips (we swapped out these for Koffman fries) with peppercorn sauce (there were multiple options for accompanying sauces including Béarnaise, garlic parsley but and chimichurri. Another guest opted for the grilled salmon Béarnaise with a crispy skin and was highly rated. Desserts were sublime – cost was reasonable for an MPW outlet £60-£70 per head with a round of drinks. The elevated position on the 5th floor offers great views especially from the balcony in the bar. A classy restaurant by all measures. Had an excellent experience here at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse. The atmosphere was stylish yet relaxed, and the service was spot on — friendly, attentive, and professional. The steak was cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and the sides complemented it beautifully. You can tell real care goes into both the presentation and the overall dining experience. Definitely a place I’d recommend for anyone who appreciates quality food and a bit of class without the pretentiousness.

The atmosphere here feels so luxurious. The food comes out well presented and with a lovely friendly staff team who are very professional and clearly care about their jobs. The afternoon tea is to die for. It’s a beautiful experience.

Not at all what you expect from a Marco Pierre White restaurant. I know they are now franchises, but to be served hard boiled scotch egg starters and scallops which had been on Munjaro!! a poor start to the meal. Main course of mixed grill with dried eggs that should not have even left the kitchen. Spoke to the chef who said other had complained about the scallops and agreed the fried egg should not have been served. Definitely not worth the money, only surviving on the name.

I just had the best dining experience! The food was top-notch—the warm baked sourdough was a great start, and the sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake were simply delicious. The service was fantastic too; everyone was super friendly and made sure I had everything I needed, from drink refills to a lovely farewell. The atmosphere was perfect for a chill evening out. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We visited here last night (Saturday). Some tables had lamps lit but others, including ours, didn’t, and wasn’t lit by staff.
The staff were polite and forthcoming but perhaps a little inexperienced.
We ordered a beer and a glass of white wine. My wine was on the warmer side for a white but fine.
We ordered a prawn cocktail and scotch egg as starters which again, were fine.
We had ordered a sirloin steak (medium rare) and a fillet steak (rare) for our main courses. Given it is a steakhouse, these steaks were inedible. The meat was old and tasted as if it had been frozen. The filet was a medium well done and had been cooked too slowly leaving it tough. The sirloin was on the blue side of rare and again, cooked too slowly. Incredibly disappointing. We also only had 4 cherry tomatoes and some frozen fries.
We did complain almost immediately when someone eventually came over. The waiter didn’t seem at all phased at how badly it was cooked, almost expected what we were going to say. They offered to re cook but we had already decided to leave.
On paying for what we had eaten, it seemed quite telling that the waiter said he hoped we could find dinner elsewhere that was ‘properly cooked’…
We went to a favourite pub down the way and had steak. At half the price, and triple the quality.
Really disappointing. Don’t bother. This restaurant is trying to present as a contemporary, fine dining establishment, but falls very far short.

Party of 5 celebrating 2 birthdays. Outstanding from the very beginning with Lovely cocktail maker in the bar (we may have slightly overindulged on the two4 deal : ) all the way throughout the meal, calamari, scallops & black pudding, chateaubriand, onion rings, chips ( you can always guage the quality of a resturant by the chips and the care put into them. Right through to the puds to name a few all cooked to perfection….Hats off to Chef….certainly knows his trade : ) The staff were all top knotch, friendly & efficient,
All making for a wonderful evening
Thanks to You All

Late birthday visit with my friend.

I can only say amazing things. I made a mistake in the reservation, but the assistant manager, Ellie, was incredibly accommodating and understanding. She was able to change it all around with no pressure or awkwardness put us on.

We dined on a fantastic scotch egg starter, alongside the salmon. Following that, we both had steak and was in love. My friend wasn’t a big steak person, so this was his first ‘proper’ steak. He was left very satisfied.

It’s in a very convenient location but with a fantastic view. Even more ideal if you’re staying in the Hilton!

The dessert of, sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream (which my friend was able to swap out, awesome!) was to die for. And the sorbet scoops were the perfect way to end the meal.
