Absolutely incredible. Everything I ordered was delicious. Their banh mi is the perfect balance of airy and fluffy, and the meat is seasoned to perfection. The pate is a standout! I’d honestly argue it’s better than Nhu Lan!

While most people seem to grab to-go, it’s worth stepping inside just for the smell, it’s heavenly. I chatted with the staff and learned they bake the bread fresh in-house; the owners arrive at 2 AM every day to start the bake and you can tell!

Ever since I went to Vietnam for two weeks last year, I crave Vietnamese food and always want that flavorful freshness that was so prevalent across the country. I had the crispy pork bahn mi and it was spot on—just like being on the bustling streets of Hanoi and Saigon minus all the motorbikes and noise.
I didn’t think my bahn mi needed extra pate or mayo or meat but I like that you can ask for it if you want more. The Vietnamese iced coffee was also tasty, sweet, and robust.
The store is very clean, has plenty of comfy seating options, and the sandwich came out very quickly (maybe 3 minutes?).
So glad to have this new place nearby!

Popped in here looking for some viet coffee and I’m glad I did! The service was great and the food was tasty. I got a tofu banh mi and the coffee to go. They asked if I wanted some veggies separated so that my sandwich wouldn’t get soggy which was a nice touch. They also made sure I was okay with mayo since it has eggs. The bread for the banh mi was fresh and not stale like some other places. Veggies were fresh and crunchy. The coffee was decent. I’ll be coming back!

We stopped in for some breakfast banh mi and banh nam to go. The 3 sandwiches we ordered (roast pork, ham, and grilled chicken) were nice and fresh and it’s great how they package the pickles separately so your sandwich doesn’t get soggy. The banh nam was like a tamale and really tasty — first time having one! Also love that they’re open early so we can have an alternative to the usual breakfast sandwiches at like Panera McD’s. Will definitely be back. Glad to have them in the area!

Absolutely delicious, authentic and well made. We had the banh mi and pho. They actually bake the bread themselves for the banh mi and that makes a total difference in the overall taste or experience. The pho broth was also perfectly balanced and really delicious, same as homemade versions. The owners of staff are also very friendly and just good people. Thoughtful and considerate. Very no frills type of place with the main focus on quality of food and service. Highly recommended!!

Came here for lunch today after my wife recently found this spot. It’s really easy to find right off of McCormick; the plaza it’s in has a decently-sized lot but still seemed pretty packed today. The interior is pretty clean and open but not too much actual seating for the amount of space it has. There are three tables that can seat four, one elevated table with two barstools, and some bar seating by the window. They also have a couple of small couches/benches by the TV and what I think was a karaoke setup.

They have 10 different bahn mi on the menu along with a grilled pork rice dish, one pho dish, and several Vietnamese drinks/pastries/desserts. We went with the grilled beef bahn mi, grilled pork bahn mi (toppings on the side for both), and the grilled pork rice dish. The lady who took our order was very nice. Aside from us, the only other people seated were the owner and a few of his friends, but there were several people going in and out with to-go orders while we were there.

The food came out pretty quickly and looked/smelled fresh with the bahn mi cut in half as requested. The toppings for the bahn mi came in their own sandwich bag on the side, and my rice dish came with a small bowl of soup which I almost mistook for fish sauce at first (unfortunately it wasn’t, but the soup was still light and pleasant). The bahn mi are a little smaller compared to something you might get from Argyle, but I tried the grilled pork and it tasted great! Bread was both soft and slightly crunchy but not hard enough to cut the roof off your mouth, and the pork had a lot of flavor and was cooked well. Same goes for the grilled pork in my rice dish. Everything in this dish seemed on par with similar dishes I’ve had at other places (fried egg was nice and runny too), though this one doesn’t come with Chinese sausage which was a little disappointing. Also disappointing was that they have Kikkoman brand fish sauce at the table which tasted more like soy sauce, rather than (what I assume is) the more traditional, lighter, and flavorful fish sauce that has an orange-ish color. I usually devour this dish with the right fish sauce, but using the Kikkoman brand took away from the experience, unfortunately.

As we finished up I asked the owner what we should do with the plates and he said we can just leave them on the table. He was also very nice and friendly. All in all this is a place we can see ourselves coming back to! I’ll just withhold on the bottled fish sauce next time.
