Service and atmosphere are great! The gnocchi is a big portion and was pillowy soft & smooth- I added a tad bit of lemon juice to elevate it. The lobster ravioli was fantastic but the pink sauce wasn’t as rich as I personally desire. The appetizers are small for their price point, such as the salad. The tiramisu is one of the best I’ve had in all of San Diego area!

Butternut squash risotto is worth going back and having at least twice a month. Mahi mahi was prepared lovely. I always think things need more salt(wish they had finishing salt) the virgin mojitos we spot on so delicious. 2 people with dessert and tip $150. 2 mains, 1 bread app, 2 drinks( mocktail) 1 dessert (I inhaled the tiramisu at home)

Absolutely loved the experience. The food was outstanding, especially the warm bread that felt like it was baked moments before being served. Dipping it into the rich, flavorful olive oil was a perfect start. The wine list really stood out, offering a great balance of classic favorites and modern selections. Everything came together to create a truly memorable meal.

This Italian restaurant truly felt like a taste of Italy. From the cozy, old world atmosphere to the comforting, classic flavors, everything felt authentic and thoughtfully done. You can tell there’s so much care and tradition behind each dish simple, high-quality ingredients prepared the right way. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, enjoy good food, and stay a little longer over wine. Such a special experience, and one I’ll definitely be returning to.

I read review after review about the great atmosphere. I could not disagree more. The place is decorated very nice and very .unique. where it falls short is the noise level. It is so loud. Everything in hear carries. We sat T a table near the entrance and could hear every conversation including the ones clear across the room. How could anyone call that romantic. There was music but you could not hear it over the conversations. It’s too bad because the food and the service were absolutely top notch.

Can one $3 order of supposed fresh baked bread lose you a couple of Stars?
In my case yes!
We went with most of the recommended items that Levi brought up. He was very convincing about his suggested recommendations. And they were great…..but
I won’t really talk about them….instead I want to focus on the first order of bread. The softest, warmest, earthiest tasting bread ever. We loved it so much that we ordered another one. We’re not piggies! The bread order is small. Like a 6″ sub size.
The 2nd bread was terrible. It was like a rock. We tried to find a soft spot and even tried soaking it in the olive oil or sauce that came with our dishes but no luck. We disected it and kept looking for the soft spot but nope!
When Levi (who was great by the way) asked “How was everything?” I was honest and explained that everything was fantastic! But that the 2nd bread was terrible. His answer to us was that he was going to let the baker in charge know about it.
Well that just doesn’t cut it. I got to thinking and the veal parmiggiana was soggy.

Went to celebrate a birthday with family and friends. The food was excellent. Everyone ordered something different and all the dishes were delicious. The cocktails were very good as well. Our server Levi was very good and made our experience exceptional. I highly recommend Antica Trattoria for anyone wanting some authentic Italian cuisine.

The Chef’s Special just wasn’t it for me. Considering the cost, I expected more — at the very least, the option to choose my own dessert. Be aware that when you order this, the wine selection is limited to the cheaper options, and dessert is whatever they decide to give you (in my case, just three scoops of ice cream). The food itself was decent but not outstanding. Service was professional and fine overall.
