I went for a solo dinner on a Tuesday evening. It’s in the same plaza as the Safeway so lots of parking. It’s a nicely remodeled booth and table setup with a sushi bar. It wasn’t that busy and I was seated immediately. Service was helpful and attentive throughout.
I ordered the Calamari Katsu from the Entrees menu, since Saba Shioyaki wasn’t offered. Very average Miso soup, a large bowl of iceberg lettuce salad with a ginger flavored mayo dressing and a large bowl of steamed rice came first. Next was a large mound of deep fried uniform Calamari strips with dipping sauce. The breading was crispy unseasoned and the squid was tender. The dipping sauce was standard and a little sweet, matching well with the Calamari. I brought about half home.
Good quality, quantity and value. Since there’s no Saba, I may repeat.
A little unassuming from the front, but once you step inside you see quickly this restaurant is lovely and has that authentic Japanese look and feel.
The wait-staff were super nice, and the food was delicious and affordable.
I got the teriyaki chicken bento (lunch special) and it was awesome. Lots of tempura, the salad and sushi were delicious and of course the chicken was amazingly charred and tasty.
Definitely will come back here. I highly recommend this place!
Anyways, I checked it out and was really impressed by the huge portions, taste, flavor and the aesthetic of the restaurant. It looks so luxurious and clean, with the new decoration.
The price point is really fair— you can even get take out for under $10. Better yet, they have a really good rewards program which helps bring in regulars.
I had the combo with beef teriyaki, chicken katsu, miso soup and the salad. Everything was fresh and delicious.
They said only 4 people came to grand opening. That’s sad to hear so I’ll be recommending them around.
Lastly, the o-toro sushi was amazing. Really fresh and they gave huge pieces like not many places do!
The service was great, the food has generous portions and was fresh and wonderful.
I ordered the salmon bowl and it was so much! It was enough for 2-3 people. My husband ordered the lunch Bento special and it was about of food. The miso was warm and delicious.
