Great service, the staff are very knowledgeable, take their recommendation if you can’t decide!
Food is exceptional. All round great place, highly recommend it.
The best greeting on entry I think we have had well done guys.
The atmosphere & food was also amazing.
The salmon on brioche & chocolate cake was yummy
I will return on my next visit to Sheffield.
Today, my friend and I went to visit the new Aux Bon Vivant in Sheffield, after seeing fantastic promotional videos on social media.
I would like to kindly thank the co-owner of the business, who welcomed us warmly inside and provided us with knowledge on the business. Hats down to her in working with a 3 month old baby!
She had made us aware they were full when we first came in (1pm-2pm), but told us times which would be most quiet with their availability, which we took on board and returned with a table available.
As a French person, the food transported me back to France, with the perfect balance of seasoning and a truly imbedded feel of traditional French food.
Furthermore, I would like to thank the whole team for making the experience one to remember, and a massive congratulations to the owners for such as successful business and their new born.
I would most definitely be returning and would highly recommend. One thing I will note is that they don’t take any reservations under 6 people, which in consideration for a start up business is very reasonable!
The quality is incredible, mostly because Chef Pierre makes everything himself from scratch. We had some of the UK-made (but French approved!) charcuterie and cheese with a glass of Marius white wine to start, which was brilliant.
The bistro dishes are the real highlight though. We tried the Oeuf Meurette, which is a traditional poached egg in red wine jus—a total tangy revelation if you’ve never had it. The chicken ballotine and the pork belly with garlic gribiche were both flawlessly balanced.
From the artisan breads and pastries to the high-end bistro plates, everything Pierre and Zara are doing here is top-tier. It’s refined cooking but feels really relaxed and welcoming. If you want to spend an hour or two living well, go here. They do everything from breakfast to dinner , and everything in between. Amazing place, 10/10

Tried this out for the first time today and wow … really nice. Exquisite flavours, light and bright, and lots of tasty looking options on the menu. The people working there were friendly. Pastries looked proper French. I’ll be back for more for sure
