Absolutely fantastic!! From the moment we walked in to the restaurant the aroma of Indian cuisine enveloped us. Ample, comfy seating, and incredibly friendly service.

Chicken samosas were delicious and super crispy wrapping. Served with two dipping sauces and both were equally flavorful.

Garlic naan was cooked just right with just perfect amount of garlic.

The Chicken Chettinadu — OMG! So good!! Chicken was tender, sauce was…scrumptious. Medium is nicely spicy.

Bravo Dasara!! Incredible!

A great restaurant and the food is amazing!!! Jon our server went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional!
The onion pakora was one of the best I’ve had and served fresh, hot and crunchy!!! The chicken korma had a beautiful mild creamy flavor and yes spice can be adjusted to suit your taste. Now let’s talk Chettinddu per Jon we went with Goat and “Shut the Front Door” it was out of this world. Finally the garlic cheese Naan was hot and fresh leaving you asking for another.
I have no criticism!! Whether you are a connoisseur of Indian food or just exploring a new cuisine this is your place.
Give it a try and I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

I love Indian food, and had heard great things about Dasara. The large free parking lot is great, the decor inside is also beautiful. The service was… odd. We were seated and given menus then before even ordering one of the servers took them away from 2 people in our party before we could order. The menu was large with lots of options but they didn’t have anything available on two of the sections. The food was good, not great, and they were stingy on the rice portions. We had to order more sides. We weren’t checked on by the servers throughout our meal and I felt as though we were bothering them when we tried to order more food. We also shared all of the dishes and they were inconsistent. One bite would be insanely spicy and the next very mild. Overall, there are better Indian restaurants in the area

One of the best Indian restaurant in Fort Lauderdale area. We had cut mirchi, chicken majestic, chicken biryani, chicken mandi, karakpodi chicken, and chicku milk shake Everything was very authentic and delicious. Our server Hema was super friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. She checked on us often and made sure everything was perfect. Great food at a very affordable price and even better service — definitely coming back!

Say hello to Dasara Indian Cuisine, the relatively new Fort Lauderdale jewel that’s making good on its promise of blending “tradition and innovation.”

Tucked neatly into a local shopping mall, Dasara is far from your typical spot. The interior is a colorful, modern, and utterly charming oasis, complete with a sleek bar. It’s the perfect backdrop for virtually any outing: a relaxed date night, a lively family dinner, or a full-blown celebration. Crucially, the customer service is top-notch and the prices are competitive, meaning you get a premium experience without the painful price tag.

A Bold Lineup of Flavor Bombs
The menu is a sensory journey, but let’s talk about the absolute stars that launched this review straight to an A grade. The key takeaway here: the food is BOLD, delicious, and you genuinely taste all the ingredients.

Appetizers: Soup and Fire
Lentil Soup (Out of this World!): If there is one item you must order, it’s this. Described as protein-rich, that barely scratches the surface. It is a complex, rich tapestry of different spices and flavors a masterclass in Indian seasoning that sets a high bar right out of the gate.

Pepper Shrimp Fry (Fiery & Tender): This South Indian dish is not for the faint of heart, but it is ADDICTIVE. The tender shrimp are tossed in a killer blend of black pepper, curry leaves, and spices. It’s bold, it’s zesty, and it’s one of the undisputed highlights of the menu.

Street Snacks: We also loved the cool, tangy relief of the Dahi Puri (crispy puris smothered in creamy yogurt and spiced fillings….semi sweet) and the unexpected tang of the Stuffed Mirchi (deep-fried jalapeno peppers stuffed with a flavorful, spiced blend).

Main Event: The Pomfret Perfection
For the entrée, the Tandoori Pomfret is a must-try showstopper. This whole, bone-in Pomfret fish is marinated in a secret blend of exotic aromatic spices and herbs before being chargrilled to absolute perfection in the tandoor. The result is flaky, moist, and packed with an incredible depth of flavor. Served alongside the simple, aromatic Jeera Rice (basmati rice infused with cumin), it’s a truly memorable meal.

The Naan Hall of Fame
You can’t skip the bread basket. The Garlic Naan is so good it could be a category on its own it’s utterly addictive. And they don’t stop there! They offer an entire league of delicious options, including Chili Garlic, Cheese, Butter, and the intriguing sweet flavors of Peshawari Naan.

Final Warning: The Heat is REAL
Here’s the critical public service announcement: full warning, the medium heat can be Semi HOT.

While I love spicy food, Dasara’s medium is on another level. I strongly recommend that if you are sensitive to heat, start with mild and work your way up. Their spices are authentic, vibrant, and incredibly powerful which is exactly why the food is so good, but it requires respect!

Verdict: Dasara Indian Cuisine earns a solid A. The fish, the lentil soup, and the pepper shrimp stood out as exceptional, bold dishes that truly showcase a blend of tradition and top tier flavor execution. Go there, be brave, and enjoy the fire!

Food – we ordered 2 onion kulcha and paneer kadai. Paneer kadai came with rice and it was enough for 2 people. The food was very delicious and seemed it had no food color ( which I absolutely love)

Service – the staff was really warm and kind. They not only got us everything we wanted but went an extra mile – like objecting to serve hot water in plastic glass 🙂 and getting us onion and lemon (Indian parallel of ketchup, but not everyone serves it)

Ambiance – very contemporary and insta worthy! Loved it . Check attached photo

We stopped by for lunchtime and it was amazing.
We had Chicken Kothu parota, Guntur Chicken & Gongura Chicken biriyani. The Chicken Kothu parota was fantastic and increased appetite & every bite was a delight. The Guntur chicken has excellent mix of spice levels.
Don’t miss the masala chai…
Would love to stop by again❤️

Although the great atmosphere was a bit far from us, the experience was well worth it. The food was delicious, with just the right amount of Indian spice, and the dishes we tried, including butter chicken, biryani, chicken drumsticks, chilli chicken and samosas, were all excellent.
