My review is for the cappuccino only. It is marginally good. Not foamy. No strong flavor of coffee (they only put one shot and it is pretty weak). If you like cappuccinos this is not your place. Try City Market’s coffee shop instead. This place is centric and clean however. The bread looks good too.

I want to be clear that I have nothing but respect for PANIO—this is a wonderful café. However, the clientele can be a problem. It’s disappointing to see that among some Americans living in San Miguel, there are people with extremely low social awareness and literacy.
My family and I were enjoying coffee together when this woman who arrived later started making snide remarks because there were no available seats and we didn’t give up ours.
I was told sarcastically that because you wouldn’t leave the table, I had to sit next to you.
So does that mean that whenever you come to a café, everyone is expected to cut their time short and give up their table for you?
Why would someone feel the need to deliberately interrupt a moment when others are clearly having a good time?
Was it because I’m Asian? I wouldn’t be surprised if this person also looks down on Mexicans and spends her time constantly complaining about them.

Great pastries, remarkable croissants, all fresh. Good for a quick simple breakfast. The space is very narrow so it feels easily crowded at times, I suggest you to order to go. Also be aware that dogs are not allowed in so if you’re planning to sit for breakfast with your furry friend this is not the place unlike many other coffee shops in town that do allow dogs at least at the terrace or central patio.

The staff was distracted maybe not the friendliest. The bread was good but they didn’t see like they knew how to make coffee and it was a bit cold and I wish it were hotter. Maybe it was just not that staff members day or she was new?

A superb bread and pastry bakery that we totally enjoy ..croissant, tarts and cakes and really great coffee…a go to stop for us …nothing else to say, just enter and view the pastries and seize the moment..the desserts today were outstanding and as always the service is very friendly and very attentive..

Cons: The staff has NO clue about food handling hygiene. Two young girls kept stuffing food into their mouths bare handed and would then handle the customer’s food. One (band aid on her left ear) would handle her phone and then shred cheese bare handed for customers. She literally reached into a shredded cheese container, stuffed some into her mouth and then sprinkled some on a sandwich. The manager needs to do some serious training at the Relox location. Avoid if you don’t want to get sick.

Nice atmosphere, good customer service. I ordered the lasagna and was not impressed. I guess that is what I get for ordering lasagna at bakery…

The pastries here are excellent and five star! We were a little disappointed with the coffee and hot chocolate. Coffee was a little weak and hot choc a could have been hotter. Other than that, 5 stars. Would go back for their pastries.
