We were greeted and seated immediately. The place was clean and staff friendly. I ordered the chicken sandwich and fries and my friend the chicken burger with sweet potato fries. The wait wasn’t long at all and the food was good. Menu is a bit pricey but not outrageous. We had Cheryl for our waitress so of course our service was amazing. Really enjoyed the graphics on the walls. Agnew signs did a great job! The remodel and decor looked great. I didn’t get a chance to make it upstairs to check out the sitting room but will for sure next time.
The menu is upscale, extensive, and pricey, with unusual items available for the area like Crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks, or a Cioppino seafood stew.
We enjoyed the Crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. My entrée was the ABLTS, which was good, but I would prefer the bread be grilled next time rather than toasted. My co-worker liked his chopped Greek salad, with a 75-cent upcharge for an additional dressing.
The food was good, but it did not knock it out of the park. I understand the restaurant is new and is probably still figuring things out. I know the area wanted an upscale restaurant, and the prices seem more like Seattle than Chesaning.
Full bar with signature drinks, low/high top, and booth seating. Excellent service. Clean restrooms. Limited free street parking.
I see what they are going for, and I hope it works, but I would have enjoyed a simple soup-and-salad bar, which they no longer have—best of luck with its success.
*** Be careful to watch the reviews for how many contributions they have done and where. One rated this restaurant and others outside the state within a hour.
Of all the hundreds of places around the world I’ve eaten, this one is my favorite.
The refreshing interior is a nod to the town’s history, showcasing historic photos as well as tools that were sold in the mercantile and drygoods stores of long ago to create the restorative effects that food has on the mind and body.
We drove 20 minutes from our home to check this place out! Let me tell you it is worth the drive.
They have a great selection of menu items, both food and drinks. We will definitely be adding this place to our favorites list and will be making frequent stops. I can’t wait to try another item from the menu, I’m going to guess it will be as good as the first selection. I had the rib eye, with a baked potato. It was way more than I could eat, so I have left overs to look forward to. My husband had the filet mignon and said it was the most tender filet he has ever had and such good flavor. Our server was great, she made sure we had everything we needed and kept our drinks filled without us having to ask.
The atmosphere was cozy. I absolutely love the decor.
