Authentic Italian cuisine. Restaurant has had many notable patrons. It is a small but cozy place. Everyone is friendly. A couple came into the restaurant and sang a few traditional Italian songs. Great experience!

We went for dinner on a Saturday evening. Extremely busy restaurant. Only one bathroom for both genders. We felt the service was slow. Food was tasty. We all enjoyed our dinner and time together. Quite a lively restaurant. There was a lady singing opera which gave it a great ambience.

Nico’s in Boston’s North End is simply one of the best of the best. It may look small from the outside, but this hidden gem absolutely packs a punch when it comes to authentic Italian cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel welcome and the service is consistently outstanding.
The food is where Nico’s truly shines. Every dish is rich, flavorful, and prepared with the kind of authenticity that defines the North End’s legendary dining scene. It’s the type of place where every meal reminds you why Boston is known for incredible Italian food.
I even told the manager that I dream about this food in my sleep—and I meant it. Nico’s never fails. If you’re looking for real North End Italian with great service and unforgettable dishes, this place is a must.

we went here before a show at TD garden. It was hands down the best Italian restaurant I have ever been too. I honestly can’t decide between Hell’s kitchen at foxwoods or Nico’s. I ordered the Tableside Cacio e Pepe but because we chose bar seats I didn’t get the tableside experience. I was asked what I would like for protein and I picked the meatball which was at least 1 lb of beef, it cut like butter and I have never had a meatball so good but the pasta was just as good.
we also had the Lobster alla Boscaiola i was informed not only was it the best lobster dish ever, they were very generous with the amount of lobster.

Had quite the treat with my family at Nico. We were promptly seated (had a reservation) and the staff was quick to attended to us. The meatballs they serve here, whether as an app or main course, are huge, flavorful, and tender. I ordered the short rib, worth the price! While the lobster bits were succulent, they didn’t add much to the dish overall.
The bartender was kind and thoughtful to the point of gifting the table limoncello shots after dinner. Our waitress was knowledgeable and offered me a bottle of the balsamic vinegar they use because I had inquired about what brand they use with their bread. Nick, the owner, was on-site and was welcoming and made sure all diners, not just our table, were taken care of.
I highly recommend Nico for a night out on the town!!

The host was very welcoming and friendly. He was probably my favorite part of the whole experience. The restaurant was extremely loud and packed in. They clearly prioritize maximizing the capacity of the building vs the experience of their customers. We ordered the antipasto appetizer, I feel like it was a couple slices of deli meat with a jar of pickled vegetables poured on top of it. It wasn’t anything special. The porcini ravioli was amazing though! I’ll definitely be going for lunch next time, hopefully it won’t be as loud.

Excellent meal, great service, chill atmosphere! What else can you ask for?
We had the porcini ravioli and lobster pasta, everything is phenomenal! I highly recommend the porcini ravioli for vegetarian, that’s like the best ravioli I ever had!!!
Our server is very attentive and gave us good recommendations!
If you going in during the weekend, a reservation might not be a bad idea, the place can get busy quickly.

Incredible food! Arancini was delicious and porcini ravioli took the cake. Wine list was pretty well priced. The carbonara is a bit on the “egg-y” side for my taste, and service was a touch slow. Also wish there was more seafood in the seafood rigatoni. But overall highly recommend and didn’t seem as run over by tourists as other spots further south.
