This place used to be one of my favorites for breakfast. The food has gone way down hill. Everything is highly processed and has zero flavor anymore. Not sure if it is where they are sourcing the foods or what. I probably won’t go back to find out. Our waitress was moved from us to a larger party in another area. But they did not replace her. Not her fault, she was great. I gave service 1 star because who ever moved her should had someone else checking on us.

Stopped in for a late breakfast with my husband, they weren’t busy at all so we sat ourselves at a booth. A few tables still had dirty dishes on them we noticed as we sat no big deal. We sat for a few minutes waiting until eventually someone came over to take our drink order. We looked at the menu for a bit but it seemed to take a while to just get our drinks but we heard 2&3 waitresses carrying on and cussing and laughing behind the scenes. Finally got our order taken, I ordered a breakfast plate with eggs meat and hashbrowns. I could immediately tell the hashbrowns were not made fresh to order, they tasted old and greasy and stale, the eggs were greasy as well. My husband ordered country fried steak that had been cooked too long and was a bit hard. At one point someone in the kitchen got upset and was yelling at one of the waitresses over something. We finished up and paid our bill and left. Not sure if we will give this place a second chance. Food was okay.

What an experience! It was a very nice meal. The waitress was awesome and it’s worth to stop and get your hunger taking care of with a meal that will make you come back and try something else! Congratulations it’s really “The old fashioned way”. 5 Stars Restaurant!

Made a last minute decision to stop on our drive. Enjoyed fried chicken, country fried steak, mashed potatoes and country style green beans.
We will definitely stop in again in the future.

My wife & I arrived for lunch at 1:30pm Saturday , waitress asked how many (2) then she left. We weren’t told to sit down or wait… so we finally sat down at a close booth. The waited 2-3min while 2 waitresses were at the register going over receipts or something 15feet away and another into the kitchen. I set my timer for 2 more minutes we agreed would be our limit of waiting then the other waitress finally came out (from the kitchen)and apologized for us waiting, she didn’t t know we were there.
I used the bathroom and it was extremely filthy from urine smell build up. The vent duct above our head was caked with dust and maybe water stains from humidity? An occasional fly buzzing us didn’t help matters.
Food was decent and the apple dumplings were good for the 2 stars but that was about it.

There’s not much to choose from in Portland. Service was slow, and the food was just okay. There was a horrible smell just outside the entrance. Two us got the dinner specials and another got the breaded tenderloin sandwich. If we go again, I will try breakfast, which is served all day. The price was food, though.

Not impressed with this restaurant. Every time I go here with my grandpa I have keep on the waiters on ensure we get a refill on our drinks. Been here several times where I didn’t get a single refill and at one point our waitress had left due to the end of her shift and nobody came to check on us or even ask if we wanted to go boxes or anything. Plus the food is very bland, you have to add a bunch of salt and pepper to most of the food here to have any good amount of flavoring.
