Ordered $75 worth of food. 2 steak and shrimp and sushi. We have never had a bad thing from there, but today was definitely different. We drive out to Wadsworth from the other side of Akron just for Kasai. Well today was an exception….best part of the meal was the salad after we cut the one piece of lettuce in the salad up. Shrimp and steak was so overdone the only way to get tails off is to cut it. Steak was like rubber, definitely will not be returning anytime soon

The food was good and the fish was fresh. The sushi rolls were tasty and all my companions enjoyed them. The only negative I found was in my sashimi assortment. The octopus was pretty tough. Otherwise I would eat there again and recommend it to others.

I normally do not complain and am very understanding but this is rediculus. This is normally my go to sushi place for a special treat since it is so expensive however after today I will never return. I placed my online order and it gave me a 20- 25 minute pick up time, now I have waited before for my food to be done here so I was 15 minutes late for pick up time. I walked in with a group of 4 that was seated near the host stand so I could see their table. I waited and waited, at the 45 minute mark after my pick up time I asked how long it would be and they said another 5 minutes due to sushi being backed up. So I asked for a refund and they said someone would be right over. 5 minutes later someone showed up with my food and I pointed to the table that was seated when I arrived and said they sat down when I got here and are eatting their food (sushi rolls) and have have been eatting for 10 minutes. They said I am sorry sushi has been backed up and they cannot really control the order times or when the food comes out. So my hot food sat on the counter for over 45 minutes while they waited for the sushi rolls because sushi was backed up. When I got home not only was my hot food cold my sushi rolls were terrible and smaller than my previous visits. I should have just gotten a sams club sushi sampler because it would have been better.

Friday night, so I expected them to be busy. We waited for about 10 minutes in the lobby before being acknowledged. We got to our seats and then waited another 15 minutes before a waiter stopped at our table. Once the drink orders were taken, things got better. We came for the sushi, and they have a great number of options. I have had sushi here many times, and they do not disappoint. My only comment on the food is mine was topped with jalapeño slices. I was expecting a little heat, but these were mild. It is one of the best sushi restaurants in the area.

Anyone who knows my favorite restaurants in Medina County, knows Kasai is in my top three. Well, I’m not going to stop going there, but after placing an order at 5:05 pm, getting there at 5:30 to pick it up (was told 25 minutes), and not receiving food until 6:35 pm … wow. It was a Saturday night, but it was clearly PACKED when I arrived, so they should’ve advised that it would’ve taken longer. And unfortunately, the food wasn’t even fresh when I got it home. Super disappointing. They really need carry out help, at least on the weekend.

The sushi is excellent here. I ordered a salmon lovers box. Absolutely delicious. I will say sometimes the wait times for sushi is long, especially during the busy hours. The staff is really friendly though and very attentive. Downside is there is only one bathroom i saw, which for us ladies equals a wait.
