Nicks was a 10/10 dining experience. Between the food, service, and atmosphere we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the spinach and artichoke appetizer that was delicious. My grandmother’s both ordered the bistro plate that was cooked perfectly paired with filling sides. I ordered the prime rib dip that was mouth watering and also very filling, even the fries were hot and crispy. Our server Ava was friendly and attentive. Overall we had a great experience and will be back.

My husband has been here before, but this was my first time. The ambiance was beautiful inside or outside. We sat outside and the heaters were the perfect temperature.
We got the spinach dip, which was so good, for entrées we got the baby back ribs,which were huge, and sea bass, perfect pint of food.
Our server Gracie, was so attentive! Water always filled, specials were mentioned.

We had an amazing dinner with two other couples. Everybody’s dishes and cocktails were perfect! Cody was an amazing waiter making sure our one nut allergy guest was well taken care of for the night. I highly recommend this restaurant when in Carlsbad!

Good service and location! The restaurant is very pretty and mainteined. The food was overall good. The appetizers were simple but tasty.
I got a Cioppino soup, which tasted good, but the shrimps they used were 100% coming from a frozen box and definitely machine prepared. I don’t have necessarily something against it, if the price would matching the food quality. If they charges 45-47$ (38 + taxes + tip on average) I would expect to be served fresh shrimps. Overall good experience, but I am not sure I’d go back.

This is the best kept secret in Carlsbad! Appetizer of Fried Deviled Eggs – AMAZING! Entrees, we had Ribs which were perfection, Chicken Piccata was simply delicious, and the Prime Rib Sandwich was the best any of us had ever had! Try the Petite bistro Salad as well, oh so good! The best part was the absolutely scrumptious Butter Cake with Berry Compote. Absolutely delicious.

Great food! One of my favorite dishes of San Diego is their fried chicken comfort food. It’s high quality, and they have other high quality comfort food amongst other traditional more fancy dishes. It’s non experimental, so you get what you expect and not any crazy fusion or hot pepper laced surprises. Nice bar area. It’s about impossible to get in on a Friday or Saturday without a reservation.
