Do you take the time to take a stroll or a drive around? It is a beautiful little enclave.
If ever in the area again I will definitely go back there!
Would surely visit again and again!
The food is outstanding. On par with the best bakeries you’d find in a big city. Every bite tastes fresh and thoughtful, from their incredible signature breads to their heavenly cinnamon rolls. What we especially appreciate is the variety of savory baked goods, each one flavorful, hearty, and clearly made with care.
Whether you’re here for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee and treat, you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. 5b’s isn’t just a bakery, it’s a community treasure and a must-stop in Concrete!
It was nice to see the take away meals and fresh food options. A little bit of everything even with a done in menu.
I picked up the Ginger, Chocolate Chip, and Lemon cookie. All moist and full of flavor, highly recommend any of them. The food is delicious and a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch if your in the area camping. This really helped with my coffee fix in the morning.
That said, it was very overpriced for what it is. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and while the waffles were some of the best I’ve had (golden brown, and made with a corn meal maybe? Awesommmmme texture and crunch), the chicken left something to be desired. It was very well seasoned, but it was only 1 medium chicken tender sized chicken cutlet- not fried chicken. Which is on me, it probably did say on the menu that it was a cutlet and not fried chicken. It was 4 waffle pieces for just this one small piece of chicken, and it cost $20, which felt wayyyy overpriced to us. I feel like you normally get 2-3 “tender” sized pieces of chicken when you order chicken and waffles. My husband got the chicken bacon panini- which ended up being more of a toasted pita wrap, not a traditional panini. Which he did like- but wasn’t what he was expecting. I thought it was a little bland.
We got a grilled cheese to go(we tried a bite fresh- meh, not bad not great, you could make an equally good one at home), a black coffee, and a peppermint tea.
After the 10% tip, this all came out to almost $80- which felt like a LOT for the sort of lacking flavor and small chicken portion.
All that said, the foods presentation is amazing, the restaurant itself is super cute and cozy, and the team was all really nice. We’d eat here again- but maybe order from their huge range of prepared goods in their pastry display instead. Their pastry/prepared food display looks soooo good!
