I recently tried this place out and was seriously blown away. The cheese wontons were crispy and delicious, a perfect way to start the meal. But the real star was the sushi. Each piece was incredibly soft and fresh, melting in my mouth with every bite. The service was also top-notch. If you’re looking for amazing sushi with a great vibe and awesome service, Kona Sushi is the place to go! You won’t be disappointed.

The appetizers were very good and well made!
The waitress was friendly, helpful, and super nice. Exceptional service on her end
However I was throughly disappointed with the sushi. The rice they used was old and dry. The rolls were packed with the rubbery rice, It was almost inedible. The chef had to have known this but still sent our order out. The waitress was nice and offered to remake them but at that point we lost our appetite due to the texture.
It also took extremely long for the food to come out.

Really delicious sushi rolls here, good portion and very tasty, worth the price. The vegetable tempura does not have many types comparing to other sushi places. The sauce is so yummy and on the table for us to serve ourselves. Limited spots inside during winter time.
Will definitely come back.

We had a great experience at Kona Sushi in LaSalle. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented, exactly what you hope for when going out for sushi. Everything we ordered tasted excellent and came out in a timely manner.
A special shout-out to our server, Molly, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She made us feel comfortable right away, checked in at just the right times, and added to the overall enjoyment of the meal with her positive attitude.
Between the quality of the food and the great service, this was an all-around enjoyable visit. We’ll definitely be back and would happily recommend Kona Sushi to others.

I’m going to start with the fact that my friend with celiac was forced to get all you can eat which on top of that they wanted to charge extra for cream cheese which was not included when another waiter promised it would be okay. Second the wait time was unbelievably long. And lastly which hurt the most was our server brought over two ice creams we ordered and basically fat shamed us being shocked we got two each which in my opinion wasn’t a lot. Especially when one of them was done he stated “one down ladies” I’m sorry but that’s messed up in my opinion considering I already get skeptical about eating a lot of dessert. Overall did not like my experience #imstickingwithtaka.

The food is always so good here! They have very creative rolls and are always so delicious! I always expect great service from here but last night our server went above and beyond expectations. My keys fell out of my purse and he ran out in the heavy snow and slush to bring them to our car! 5 stars ⭐️!!!

Went here for a double date it was perfect small environment which makes you feel at home. Quick service and nice staff. Food was full of flavour, Warm, and great ginger. Food looked professional plated and looks great on the stone serving trays. Definitely worth every penny make sure to tip you’re waiter/waitress! I will be back 🙂
