I went here a few month’s ago with my son the food was really good. So when my daughter visted looking to go to Philly to get Philly cheesesteak I told her no, let’s go to this place I tried. While the food is good, and the atmosphere was good they lost me on the service this time around. Both times the person taking orders was really nice. But as my daughter was leaving she stop and asked for jalapeños, but she was on the phone not payingattention. I looked back and the girl who had just taken the money, went straight to the jar, and used her fingers to take them out of the jar instead of a fork. I should have said something but I just did not let me daughter eat the food. And now I know to never go there again. Money is dirty and carries a lot of germs, for her to use her fingers is nasty, and makes me question the establishment. A couple of her co- workers noticed and did not tell her that was inappropriate and makes the business look bad. The food tasted good when I first visited, but im not willing to take chances with my health. Along with touching money what else could she have done with that hand. I don’t and I don’t want to find out. Be very careful eating there.

I just got lunch from this establishment through Uber eats about half an hour ago. My family LOVED the food. The Philly with the Cooper cheese, fried onions and sweet peppers is so good! Being a Philly girl, I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. I haven’t had a cheese steak this good outside of Philly in a long time. They must be from down that way or Jersey. We highly recommend this place. Best cheese steak in Carbon county, as far as I’m concerned. Delicious

5/3/25 approx 4 pm. Don’t waste your money. I ordered 2 Delmonico cheese steaks, 1 French fries, 1 breaded cauliflower and a pan pizza-$58.00. Food for 2 people. Difficult to hear/understand the guy that took my in person order. The pizza was burnt on the bottom and virtually no sauce, just tasted like bread. Not browned-BURNT. Ended up in the garbage. It tasted like it was sitting awhile and reheated when I ordered. Hardly any sauce. Edges were hard as a rock as well as the bottom too. Fries and cauliflower were nothing special, frozen and fried. Cheese steaks were ok, onion rings on top the bun didn’t make sense and were frozen kind and fried. I will go somewhere else for a cheese steak – prices here are ridiculous and the food very basic in flavor. I’d give it lesser than a 1 star if I could.

I’m writing this in response to the 1 star review, as it has me super annoyed. Some people just really have too much time on their hands. I’ve been ordering food from Tommy’s for well over 20 years now. 99% of the time it’s spot on and very delicious. The portions are always generous and you’ll never find a better homemade roll. They have absolutely no control over the parking on a side street in a small town and learn how to communicate. All you would’ve needed to do is give them a call and they will do anything to make the situation right. I highly recommend Tommy’s.

They mistakingly forgot something in my DoorDash order and within 15 minutes there was someone at my door with what was forgotten, no questions asked. Will always be a Tommy’s customer!

Grabbed a bite to eat at their food truck while visiting the bluegrass festival . . .
We got 2 hotdogs with fries, a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and 3 cans of soda. . .
Spent $50 which seemed a little high but was understanding because it was a kinda convenient thing while was at a festival
The food was alright/good.
I had gotten the buffalo chicken sandwich came with relish on it (Only slight downfall which I didn’t know/didn’t say on the menu was that the sandwich had relish on it and I never had it that way before but I was able to get some/most of it off)
Decent/Friendly for a food truck experience.
Out of all the food trucks there I chose them especially because I know that the restaurant that’s in Jim Thorpe and their food is good.

If you like fried foods and hoagies this is the place for you. It’s a very busy place for lunch. They make their own bread out back and it smells heavenly.
I was planning on ordering a salad but they only have iceberg lettuce so I opted for a cheesesteak stromboli because the strombolis in the case looked good. I was shocked when it finally arrived and it was fried. I’ve never seen a fried stromboli. I had no idea that was even a thing. I just ate the cheese and steak out of the middle. I was thankful I only paid $9.50 for it.
The food is really affordable which is great. Probably because it’s cash only.
My husband ordered a cheesesteak and said it was ok. It’s chunkier than he’s used to getting. He did say the bread was good.
If you’re eating healthy I’m not sure what to order. Good luck. The brownies and desserts look very tempting.

Love the subs at Tommy’s. The fresh baked bread really makes the difference. They are generous with the fixings, which are all very fresh, and a great price as well. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Cash only, no big deal just be aware of that.

This is my stop every time I’m heading to a show at penn’s peak. The buffalo chicken cheese steak is my favorite. The rolls are outstanding, it’s juicy and flavorful.
