Tonight my family and I decided to go to Rodeo Mexican Restaurant in Blakely for Taco Tuesday. We had a table of 10 (4 adults and 6 kids) and were excited for a fun family dinner.
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t go like we expected.
We waited a very long time for our food while several tables around us — including people who came in after us — were served, finished eating, and left before we ever got our meals. Our waiter looked overwhelmed most of the night, walking around with his hands on his head like it had been a long evening.
Now I completely understand that restaurants get busy. We live here too and we try to support local businesses whenever we can.
But what really made the experience disappointing was the attitude we received when paying our bill. Our ticket was $186, and instead of feeling appreciated for bringing our family out to eat, it honestly felt like we were an inconvenience.
Blakely is a small town and we want our local restaurants to succeed. Rodeo has been a place many families enjoy, which is why tonight was so surprising.
Maybe it was just an off night, but good service and a welcoming attitude go a long way in a small community.

This is the new Rodeo Grill, like the other ones the staff is friendly, the food is good and it is clean. Today is Taco Tuesday, hard tacos are just .99. every day they have lunch specials and also dinner specials. Great food at a great price.

Glad Blakely finally has a Mexican restaurant. Confidently located in town. Very friendly staff. Food is always delicious and hot. Plenty of choices to choose from. Portions are plentiful. Prices are decent.

I got the three amigos burrito and it was delicious. Chips, salsa, and queso were also delicious. Went there twice in a week and was consistently impressed. 10/10 would recommend to anyone passing through.

Called and placed a to-go order for 3 meals. My son picked up the food and got home and the order was completely wrong. Called back speaking to multiple people and explained and they apologized and said to bring it back and I explained my order again. My son took the order back bc he is the one that picked up the last order and paid for the original order. He took the food back, then he called me and I spoke to two different people again explaining my order on the phone again, they seemed to understand. My son drove back to our house which BTW is 15 minutes away and the order still was incorrect. My biggest complaint is someone there NEEDS to learn ENGLISH. Noone there today can apparently fluently speak or understand english which makes it a barrier to get what you want. They tried I do believe, but just couldnt comprehend.

Amazing and incredible food. We have been there many times since they opened. It’s one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. You must try the Changa dessert A. Fried tortilla shell rolled like a burrito filled with cheesecake cream and covered in cinnamon sugar drizzled with honey, a small amount of cool whip, it’s the most incredible dessert I have ever had
