The rice was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, which really showed how much care goes into every dish. On top of that, the service was outstanding — everyone was so kind, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcome.
For the quality you get, the prices are more than fair. It’s clear that Sushi Noma truly values both taste and hospitality. I can’t wait to come back again soon. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic, high-quality sushi! ✨
The patio door was kept open, so some flies got into the dining area.
Replying to the owner, I called an hour after because when I checked my credit card the amount was different. When I came into the restaurant with my son your worker took the original receipt off my purchase, after I confirmed if the amount charged was $30, and she said yes. So I did not question it and I asked if the teriyaki chicken “rolls” were still being made and she also said yes.
My son confirmed he did not ask to make the teriyaki chicken instead was confirming if the teriyaki chicken rolls were in the order. Clearly there was a miscommunication and misunderstanding. Yes, we did find it odd why there was a teriyaki chicken included in the order and the rolls. However, because of the extra item in my order I checked my credit card and the charge was $60 not $30, and your worker did not give us a paid receipt when my son paid for the order so we didn’t know what was charged. If a receipt was given I would have questioned it. We knew it was a mistake and yes we did try the teriyaki and threw it away because it was not good. I was not going to drive back 20 minutes to your restaurant to complain so when I had a chance in the evening I called. The quality of the food in general was not good, and from I’ve heard the quality and service has gone down at Noma with the new ownership.
I was caught off guard when the owner asked to bring the food back, then she will give me the $30’refund and she will eat the food and not throw it away. Never have I ever heard anyone say that to me or anyone else I know in a restaurant business.
I spoke to your staff with respect and not once raised my voice. I just stated the facts and he seemed to agree with me but the owner didn’t. Bad service, food was low grade quality not like it used to be and bad owners not knowing how to retain clients.
When it came time to pay, I asked if we could wait a moment, but the server kept hovering around us with the card machine and repeatedly walking by our table, clearly trying to rush us out. It made the whole end of the meal feel awkward and stressful.
I also want to be honest about something that bothered me: during our visit, there were three other tables being served around us, and it appeared they were receiving much warmer and more attentive service — including special treats — while our table was treated coldly. I can’t speak to intent, but the difference in how we were treated felt very noticeable and uncomfortable.
Food aside, service is a big part of the dining experience, and unfortunately this visit did not feel welcoming. I hope management takes customer experience more seriously going forward.
The Teriyaki Chicken Salad was insanely tasty . The chicken was so soft and flavorful. Salmon Oshi and Unagi Oshi were perfect, and the Tempura was super crispy! You can totally tell they keep their oil really clean, it tasted so fresh and light.
Their chili sauce wasn’t too sweet (finally ), and the Salmon Sashimi was huge and buttery; iterally melted in my mouth
Amazing food, super nice staff, and I’m 100% coming back!
The rolls and sushi were fresh and flavorful on the whole. Large rolls were oversized for single mouthfuls and the vegetable roll was mostly spring mix salad available at any grocery store. The BC roll was full of cooked salmon, rather than toasted salmon skin as normal. However, the food was all quite tasty.
Where the restaurant misses five stars is in cleanliness and upkeep. The inside seating seems more of an afterthought and the place is showing wear and tear. One particularly bothersome part of our meal was the flying insects. We encountered an aggressive wasp, house flies, and small fruit flies. If we were outside, I would understand; but we were inside and away from the door.
Is this sushi restaurant worth a visit? Yes, I think so. It is not going to be destination dining; but a good choice if in the area.
