Not bad at all. I’ve always noticed this restaurant but never went in till recently. One thing about the food industry is to never judge a restaurant by its location. The price was very decent and the food was fresh and delicious. Inside was clean and full of color. A good selection of beer, too. One thing I would add is they should mount a TV in the eating area when you first enter. Either than that I highly recommend this spot.

Man. I honestly blame myself for just expecting something decent for my money. I should really give up. Mexican isn’t anything fancy yet finding a good burrito is ridiculously hard. I got a regular carne asada burrito. Paid over $16. They didn’t even have to cook the meat to order. It was prepared ahead so it was lukewarm. The portion was so small. The beans had no flavor. Neither did the Pico de gallo. I had to use more salt than I should have. Considering what I paid I had to eat it. So salt it was. I wish more people would write reviews so I can know where better to spend my money. I hope this helps someone.

We were overcharged, by just a small amount, but overcharged nonetheless. I’m not sure if it was accidental or deliberate, but the total amount I paid in cash was not consistent according to their displayed menu prices behind the counter, and I was not given a receipt. The food is okay and was seasoned well. But, the tacos are way overpriced. $4.25 for a small, regular taco, just meat, cilantro, and onion… and it’s $6.50 for a “super taco.”
Their super burritos are super small. The one they sold us measured at 7 inches for a “super” burrito, and it hardly had any meat in it. The flavor was average, but it’s definitely not worth the price for a 7 inch “super” burrito. I’d recommend they increase the value by either slightly enlarging the serving sizes or slightly lowering the prices. But as it stands now, it’s not worth it when there are competitors offering better value for similar or even better flavor.

I have came and picked up food from here numerous times and it’s always super fresh and delicious. They always have amazing customer service as well. Is a little pricey but worth it because everything is made from scratch.

I am only rating this 4 stars because I was charged $1 for each small side of salsa to go with my shrimp burrito. The burrito was big and super flavorable. One of the best shrimp burritos I’ve had!

Well, we went back, Our rating: The food was not greasy, but the grill chicken was fatty and was a little burnt;; the Burrito was so tough, you could not chew or cut it, we had to throw it away,.
The Burrito with the ground beef the ground beef was good but was overpowered by the rice. (Not enough ground beef) The Burrito Shelll was tough and could not eat it. We had to throw it away.
They charged us $3.00 for sauce that had a lot of grease in it. Usually, most restaurants might charge us $1.99, but the cup is larger. Their saice was pretty good, but too much grease, in a very small cup.
The staff was excellent and friendly.
The atmosphere will rate next time.

I’m from the Bay Area and even there it’s hard to find good Mexican food.
I was passing through and decided to try Taqueria Ruiz.
I came in at opening time 9am.
Enjoyed the sights and sounds of the ladies preparing the salsas and meats for the day.
Ordered a simple super burrito (steak, light rice, whole beans with no cream/no cheese).
Enjoyed the chips and especially the salsa while I waited.
Burrito came hot/fresh and delicious.
Even portions throughout the burrito from top to bottom.
When I got to the bottom of the burrito it did NOT have excessive amounts of oil (I hate that) like other places who do not take the time to strain the meat. The tortilla was toasted too!
It’s the little bits of love that go into cooking that matter and this place understands and practices this.
