I had a wonderful experience at Thai Star Restaurant on Peachtree Blvd in Duluth. The food is absolutely delicious and truly authentic Thai cuisine. Every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and perfectly cooked.
The restaurant is very clean, well-maintained, and has a comfortable atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better.
If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in the Duluth area, I highly recommend Thai Star. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

The food was authentic and hot means hot here, except that all 3 of our entrees were spiced with the same chili sauce giving them a very smilar taste profile, with the exception of the chili cashew stir fry that had a slightly more sweet taste and was the highlight. The chicken satay appetizer had some chewy parts and did not meet our expectations. Service was pleasant. The restaurant itself is clean but extremely outdated – could use some updating for sure. Overall it is different from other run-of-the-mill Thai restaurants, though it may not be everybody’s cup of tea when they think of Thai food.

Truly the best Thai we’ve had! We started ordering from here when we lived in Duluth. We now live closer to Buford and still make the drive for take out. We’ve tried other places closer to home and none compare.

Ever since I relocated to Atlanta in 2002, Thai Star has been my go-to restaurant, and my loyalty has remained unwavering. It served as a cherished lunch spot during my time with colleagues, and even after I left the company, we continued to gather at this establishment for company reunions. Today, I had the pleasure of sharing a long-awaited dinner with my grown-up son, whom I hadn’t seen in a year. We indulged in our all-time favorite dishes: Pad Thai with Tofu, Penang Curry with Chicken, and Basil Fried Rice, accompanied by the original Thai beer, Singha.
To my delight, the restaurant has retained the same owner, Wendy, and the service provided by our familiar waitress remained consistently fantastic. The taste of the food was as exceptional as ever, and we thoroughly relished every bite. It was a truly enjoyable experience, enhanced by the attentive service we received.
Having the opportunity to have both lunch and dinner at the restaurants, which holds a treasure trove of fond memories with my colleagues and family, made the day all the more special. Thai Star has continued to be a place of comfort and delightful dining experiences throughout the years, and I am grateful for the lasting memories it has provided me with. Strongly recommend Thai Star if you haven’t tried yet.

Thai Star has been a staple in Norcross for decades. Stopped by for lunch and it was packed. We were quickly served complimentary egg rolls and water. Now days you order from a tablet on the table. My wife had Pad Thai, I chose Pad Basil. Both were delicious and were plentiful enough to take some home for dinner.

I never write reviews however I just had an awful experience here and I didn’t even eat their food. I was driving down the road in front of this restaurant and my tire popped. I pulled into their parking lot just barely making it because my tire was so flat so I wasn’t able to pull into the parking spot normally. It was just me and I Personally do not know how to change a flat tire. My husband was at work and is over two hours away from where I was. My parents also were over two hours away from my house and I called many different. Places to try to get someone to help me change my tire. In the middle of doing this, Keep in mind I have not been there for more than five minutes up to this point , the owner of this place came out rudely yelling at me telling me to move my car because it was taking up two parking spots. I have attached a video of what the parking lot looked at the time of when this happened. There was over 12 parking spots that were open if not more that anyone could park at, yet he braided me telling me that he was gonna call the police on me because I was parked in “private property” and parked Incorrectly. This was already a traumatic experience for me since I had a popped tire and felt like I didn’t know what to do, but the owner of this place made it 10 times worse by threatening to call the police on me when I already felt helpless. Eventually, an old guy that was handicapped from the motel next-door, was able to help me while this owner just stood and watched and quizzed us for how long it was gonna take. I will never go to this place, not based off of their food, as I don’t know what it tastes like, but based off of how the owner treated me and how he did not have any sense of empathy for someone that was in need.

This is family style dining. Very large portions. The food is good, needs a little more spice on the pad thai. The panang curry beef was really good. The service was fast and good. The place looks really nice and clean. It is difficult to see from the main road, but definitely check this place out.

was craving pad thai so we went here for lunch. I got it medium spicy and it was perfectly delicious. We also got the drunken noodles and that was good, too. I was disappointed they didn’t have the mango with the sticky rice, just custard. everything else was good, very friendly staff. Definitely will be back.
