Being new to the area, I asked someone where to find good Mexican food and they suggested Victor Ricos, but it was awful. I’m part Hispanic and this was not authentic Mexican food. For starters, it was so over salted, especially the beans and rice, and I’m hopeful I don’t have a heart attack tonight. I ordered two beef enchiladas and nowhere on the menu did it say they would be loaded with huge pieces of bell pepper, which was all I could taste or smell. Also, enchiladas are usually made from corn tortillas, not soggy flour ones. In my opinion, this is gringo mexican food and way overpriced.

This place could definitely improve, I think there could have definitely been a better ratio of filling in the burrito I bought! My wife ordered take-out and ended up not receiving 2 of her items that equaled $10+

The meat in the burrito was pretty dry and not very flavorful as well! I’ve never really had a burrito with too much meat in it but this burrito definitely had that problem, you could hardly taste any of the other ingredients!

I would love to come back for a different experience but as for right now this will remain my review.

Great food and love the hours and drive-thru ability. Breakfast burritos are a favorite in my family. Consistently great and made to order – piping hot! Kind service.

Service was good, unfortunately, the food was not. The Cali burrito was okay, the carnitas burrito was so full of fat we couldn’t eat it. Tried to open it up and get a few bites out of it.

I love the breakfast burritos here. I have gotten most of the different meat options they have and they are all great and large enough for me to eat half and save the other half. Although on occasion I’ll devour the whole thing. My favorite is the steak breakfast burrito. The green hot sauce is my personal favorite for flavor and spice, but I have also heard others prefer the red.

I’ve spent most of my life bouncing between Mexico and California, and I will say my standards are high when it comes to Mexican food. I don’t look for Michelin Star quality – I look for authentic, tastes-like-abuela’s-cooking. While passing through Albany, I stopped at Victorico’s without knowing anything about it, it was just a convenient location.
I stepped in and first found the restaurant to be small, but very clean – a huge step up from similar restaurants I’ve been to. The cashier was friendly (although she didn’t know what I ordered was actually on the menu), and the menu itself was on digital boards; easy to read with a wide variety, and very fair pricing.
I’ve been missing tortas, as I don’t live in a place with Mexican food, so I ordered a cheese steak torta. I must say, the first bite zoomed me back to a hot Mexicali kitchen, biting into some of the best asada I’ve ever had in a torta. It was absolutely delicious and a bit emotional, as well (I do miss my dear Lilia!).
Well done, Victorios – you know what you’re about, and you do it well.

Food is overcooked. Rolled tacos tasted like hard cardboard. No flavor. Will not be ordering again.
