Mistakes happen. Telling the customer to work around your failed process is the problem. Especially when another storefront two spots down in the same food court managed to text me and hand me my food with no issue, same time and day.
It’s hard to justify paying more here when an average Domino’s manages basic service better.
I was totally let down once I opened my food. Pizza was as good as a Jr High cafeteria pizza….its only saving grace was that it became edible once i put it on a frying pan to heat up. I ordered a side of onion rings and received about 8-9 pieces for $8.50. Never going back, save your money and try something else at that shopping center.
Update: response to owner. Thanks for reaching out, it shows you really care about your product. Yes it was an online order, someone called when it was ready and I happen to be outside rodeo X. Could travel from restaurant to home be the problem…perhaps but I’ve had delivery pizza hundreds of times. I’m adding my receipt to this review. So you’re saying that I not only got subpar food but I also overpaid? I’ll add a star because I think you truly care and other reviews are what drew me to the restaurant. But I’ll stand by my review.
We were first time customers and in the area so popped in for some pizza. The service started out good when giving our order to the young Hispanic girl and then it turned into a complete disaster. Let me delineate our experience; after giving our order, I told the young Hispanic girl we’ll sit by the Christmas tree watching TV so you can find us there to bring our pizza. She smiled and said okay. All is normal and going well. This of course was stated to her after giving her a 15% tip. Keep in mind, customers place their order at the front desk. About 20 minutes goes by, I decide to walk all the way over there (from the other side of the food court) to find out what is taking so long for our order. As soon as I reached the front desk, I get a text saying my pizza is ready. There was never a mention by the young girl from the start that we’d get a text alerting us the pizza was ready. I thought her asking for my number was a rewards program. There was never a mention that the pizza would not be brought to our table. When I confronted a different girl inquiring about my pizza she stated “oh we don’t bring food to tables here”. There was no apology for the bad communication but just an abrupt remark. The original girl who took my order saw me upset but she never came out to take responsibility for her error but just stared from the back with a deer in the headlights look. I told the new girl, I left her a nice tip so she can bring the pizza to me. Again she flippantly said “we don’t do that here”. No apology. Then why leave a tip if I have to walk to the front and grab my own food. That was the whole idea. Not once did I feel like they cared about me the customer. But of course, they’re just kids and not business people invested in forming relationships with customers so they return to spend more money. Also I ordered two bottles of water but she only gives me one and states “we only have one water left”. No mention of a return or anything so I just took their bottled water on display.
Moving along to the food. The pizza was fresh but it tasted like I was eating a Little Cesar’s pizza out of a 7-11 store. Full of grease and no flavor. For me, having made pizza for a couple years in New York City, I certainly know what good pizza tastes like. I certainly know how to treat customers the right way. More importantly, I know how to train my staff and/or tap effective people to manage my business for me.
This was a very bad experience at ‘Slice of Haven Pizzeria’ and we will not be returning to your establishment.
Please feel free to reach out but if not good luck!
