This place really has it together. An intimate atmosphere, great wine list, and all the French cuisine classics. It has the best french onion soup I’ve had in ages, almost a meal by itself. I would recommend the tuna tartare over the beef tartare.

The food was delicious. We went here for brunch and loved the special which includes a mimosa or bloody Mary for $15 with a large array of breakfast choices.

The meals have always been delicious. Only issue is the live music. We were there with friends we hadn’t seen in a while and couldn’t have a conversation. They seated us near the band. I love music and go to lots of venues but you should be able to eat a meal and have conversation.

Very nice staff. Stopped in from the street festival looking for a coffee and a muffins. They brought out some delicious bite size muffins and crossaints with strawberry butter. Great atmosphere. Looking forward to trying dinner one night.

Wonderful charm, incredibly warm and welcoming staff, very nice selection across the board. Found their prices to be very reasonable. Have had the pleasure of enjoying Rive Gauche a few times and have fallen in love with everything about it. Looking forward to bribging my wife there to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Hate to be a downer but didn’t get past the guy at the reservation desk on Saturday night. Can’t really comment on the food because our intro to the place was so tainted by his rudeness and dismissive personality that we chose not to stay. His only reason for living seemed to be to give our reserved table to a pair of walk-ins. Also wondering why they have live music on a Saturday night but I guess that is their choice. Not my thing but maybe others enjoy that mix. At some point will try it again and hopefully have nicer things to say.

The only French restaurant in Greene County, and it doesn’t get anywhere near the traffic it deserves. You can always get a table, but make a reservation on Saturday nights. This place will knock your socks off, it really is world class cuisine.

Coming from the big city, I happened upon this charming surprise! Who would have thought I would have been swayed to stay longer than my initial plans. While paying for the cab, I could see straight into the kitchen windows opened to the street & see the chef happy at work. The environment was warm & greeting, soft light & music not too loud & not too quiet. I had the amazing pate’ followed by the beef Bourguignon…loved it all! I will be back, thank you for the Frenchy surprise!!…xx
