We were trying to get to a wood fire pizza place but maps led us to you.
This was hands down the best oops.
Todd our waiter was amazing! They were friendly, didn’t leave us thirsty, and made sure we had everything we needed right up to us leaving.
Everything was made with love and it was delicious.
The homemade chips and French onion dip appetizer were so well done we got more to go home.
We also tried an extra cheese pizza and their bang bang shrimp wrap special with a small garden salad with ranch.
All fantastic and we can’t wait to go back to try even more of their food.
On our last visit we were immediately greeted by a man for seating. I asked if it would be possible to sit in the back room and he swiftly and harshly replied ‘NO.’ We were quite taken aback by his attitude and a server standing nearby apparently was also quite stunned by his rudeness and she did her best to smooth it over. We said that was no problem and seating anywhere would be just fine. But then he went on with…there’s a reserved party in the back and they have paid for that room! Oh, my—we honestly needed no explanation. As senior citizens we have always felt The Fireside Grill was a welcoming environment. We wondered if his demeanor would have been different to a younger group or a larger group. It was just difficult for us to understand his ill-mannered behavior toward us.
We had a wonderful server (did not catch her name but she had a lovely accent), who was very kind, pleasant and efficient.
Perhaps in the future a more polite and very simple answer to our question would be, ‘I’m sorry the backroom is unavailable today.’ A little decorum goes a long way.
Cons: * It’s called Fireside Grill, but it was chilly inside! The fire wasn’t lit, despite the fact it was c-c-c-cold outside! * The iced tea was weak, and tho they supposedly changed the mix or whatever, it still tasted watery. * The “roaster sized wings” were small; and instead of dipping the wings in sauce, the bbq ones just had the sauce spread on top. The extra hot ones were pretty much flavorless. * The other appetizer we got, nachos with meat, cheese, etc., had an odd flavor. * the 3 of us all got different burgers, which were not very flavorful. Burgers are served with a generous portion of homemade chips- which were ok- but not as good as if the burger came with fries. Those are $3 extra… they should be included at the price you pay for the burgers. All in all it cost $127 (ouch!) for the 3 of us to eat food we didn’t enjoy. Especially disappointing because this was a birthday celebration. We won’t be back. (I gave a one-star rating because, although the staff and atmosphere were pleasant, the whole reason you go out to eat is the food!)
