I’m only rating this place on the tastebuds satisfaction.
What we ordered:
• Guthi Vankaya Ulavacharu Biryani – Hands down, the best biryani in the PNW. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the rice was cooked to perfection.
• Vegetable Jalfrezi – Served piping hot and tasted amazing. Unlike most places where the base sauce feels repetitive, this one stood out with its unique flavor.
• Garlic Naan – Thin, crispy, and loaded with garlicky goodness.
The biryani was so good, we had to go for round two—Avakayi Veg Biryani. The avakayi spice hits just right, mouthwatering and addictive.
The ambiance is super lowkey, but the food speaks for itself. Prices hover around $20 per dish, which feels totally justified given the flavors.
Biryani lovers—this spot is calling your name.
Spice level – Spicy
Both the biryani and pulao are amazing. They taste totally homemade, like the rice and gravy seemed freshly prepared.
The gongura flavor in this gongura biryani is quite delicious; it’s tangy and fresh. I haven’t found such a strong gongura flavor in other Washington restaurants.
My husband’s review – The chicken in the green mirchi pulao is tender, and I can really feel the spiciness of the green chilies in the gravy. Overall, it is so flavourful.
We had a wonderful experience and plan to return to try more of your delicious dishes.
I came because it had good ratings and prices, and I will definitely come back. The value is better than other Indian restaurants and I think the food tasted as good or better than any Indian that I have had.
Mango Lassi was creamy and refreshing so you can never go wrong with ordering this drink. The cauliflower in the Gobi Manchurian was fried just right and covered in the flavorful/tangy sauce. And with the purple onion and cilantro on top, this tied everything in the dish perfectly together.
As for the butter chicken, this is a classic Indian dish that’s always a safe option when you’re feeling unsure. The sauce was creamy/flavorful and paired well with the rice & garlic naan.
Even though we were feeling pretty full from all the food that was just mentioned, we made sure to make room for the Special 65 Chicken Biryani. I don’t know what they put in this Biryani but this is a must order! The chicken is tender, the rice is packed with spices and flavor, and the yogurt sauce that came with is just *chef’s kiss*
We had some leftovers the following day and I was so excited to eat the Biryani haha.
I’m surprised that the restaurant isn’t filled with customers but I did see many people come in for take out orders so that was good to see. If you’re in the Everett/Bothell area and craving some delicious Indian food, MOMI Indian Kithchen is the place to go!
The restaurant is modest, but you won’t be disappointed.
The rice is well served, the garlic naan is to die for and the sauces are delicious. Service is good too.
Bring cash if you want to avoid credit card fees.
The food is flavorful and authentic, particularly the veg curry, though the portion size could be more generous for the price.
The restaurant is also popular for its takeaway, especially their Biryani.
Overall, it’s a great spot for delicious Indian cuisine with just a small room for improvement in portion sizes
• Tandoori Chicken: Juicy and perfectly cooked, with a great balance of smokiness and spice.
• Butter Chicken: Creamy, rich, and indulgent, with tender pieces of chicken that paired well with naan or rice.
• Karampodi Fish: A standout dish with a unique flavor profile—crispy, spicy, and incredibly satisfying.
While the quality of the food was impressive, the prices felt a bit steep for a takeout experience. That said, if you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine in the area and don’t mind spending a little extra, Momi Indian Kitchen is worth a try.
