If Dawn isn’t working I wouldn’t recommend eating here. Everyone else gives the same tiny portions despite just recently raising the prices for everything on the menu and either burns or halfway cooks most of the food. The annoying bias or being young and getting served bad food is eve worse at a small hole in the wall like this except from dawn since the moment I met her. Will not be going back unless they hire more people like dawn. And all we got were two dave combos and tipped $10 on a to go order just to receive this after being criticized for leaving previously when we didn’t see Dawn because our food was also just as bad the time before from another rude waitress.

We were in Arnold for a volleyball tournament. Like to try local places during game breaks. This felt like an older place, with counter seating. It was cash only. I always try burgers and this one was OK. We were told they were like smash burgers, but had the feel of a frozen patty. I got fries as well and they were pretty bad. I would try the fried chicken here if I am ever in the area and have time for it.

Went last night to get to-go after a long shift. The waiter/cook was rude and had THOSE KIND of cuts and bruises on hands and arms. I asked about the food on the “Specials” board and the man told me “I don’t know where any of that stuff is at, so don’t ask me to make any of it”. Which tells me everything I should know. But still, I gave him a chance and got what I usually get. Only for my pancakes to be doughy as hell inside. The food was rushed. We were the only people inside and he hurriedly made the food to get us out of his store. I gave a good tip and was patient, but was not given good food. This place is not worth a dime if Dawn isn’t there…

First let me say, this rating is not regarding the Diner as a whole. I love Dave’s Diner. The rating is low because of 1 waitress that works there. This would be the 3rd time I have been there in just the last 6 months that this particular waitress has been rude, doesn’t take orders well or is very inattentive to the customers.
Today is the day I will say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I came in to a fully packed diner (which they usually are and many elferly are always in there eating) to place a to go order. I sat at the bar. The other waitress is always pleasant. But as I am sitting there, I hear the the waitress I am furious at say “watch out behind you, there’s someone there”! Then under her breath rather loudly she’s says, While you block my door”!.
Whoa, The blatant disrespect of this woman who is a waitress and supposed to have customer service. I am furious at the fact that not only would she speak so negatively out loud for others to hear but the lack of respect for our elderly! This is our problem in our world today. No respect and no respect for the elderly. Where is her manners? This IS NOT the job for her to be in.
As I said this is the 3rd encounter with her attitude and lack of work ethics. But today crossed the lines. This little elderly couple were walking slow as older people do. However, their money is just as good as anyone else’s. I get my food, pay and walk out and there she is sitting on the bench. So I talked to her for a moment. Very nice lady. Breaks my heart to hear and witness such rude, ignorant and actually discriminatory behavior! I did leave my waitress a very nice tip on my take out order. So if you are deserving, I believe you should get a good tip.
I did leave my name and number with the NICE waitress for Dave to call me. I will hope he does.

I have enjoyed my time here on several late night occasions with friends. Food and atmosphere is comparable to your typical Waffle House. Whoever is working can make the place, or break it. Barb who often works overnights does a great job!

Quickly accommodated a group of 10 on a Saturday morning. Good food with great service. Waitresses worked very well together and notified us of their “cash only” policy upon arrival.

The servers are all extremely friendly and make sure you have what you need. Our food today was good. I did get the country fried steak sandwich for first time and do not recommend it but everything else was very good

Definitely nothing to write home about. The “cook” came out huffing, went straight to the 5-6 video gambling machines they have there. In such a small diner, I wouldn’t think there’s a need to for 5 or 6 machines to gamble. Not going back. To any location. This one sealed it for all.
