Hands down one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had. The food was unbelievably delicious, fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Everything came together perfectly, making the entire meal feel special. A must-visit for any sushi lover!

We had a quick lunch but would happily return for a long dinner. We had a couple of appetizers and two signature rolls. All were delightful, light, flavorful and artistically prepared. Excellent flavor, very fresh ingredients and we lived the sauces. We can’t wait for an opportunity to return and explore more if what they have to offer.

Oh this is a yummy place for sushi! I had a sunrise roll or a sunset roll one of the two with the sliced lemon, a Wasatch roll and spring rolls with the pearl saki and it was lovely! I really like the atmosphere here and the music that they play. Highly recommend!

This is a regular spot for us and it has never disappointed. Happy Sumo is gold standard sushi for me and I judge all other places in comparison. I absolutely love the Lavish roll. The staff has always been very friendly and it’s a nice quiet place to eat most of the time. It seems like they are most busy mid day which makes weekend evenings the perfect time for us to go.

We have loved eating here for years but the last 2 times we’ve been (both Dec. 2025) they are dramatically understaffed and unbearably slow. A couple of weeks ago, two of us sat at a table and ordered food and waited 45+ minutes to get our sushi. Tonight we ordered take out using their app. (They recommended using the app “for best experience”.) It was a 30 minute wait for the pick up but then suddenly instead of being ready as promised, jthe pick up time was bumped back by another 40 minutes. So we called to check, were told it was not their fault and we waited the 40 minutes and went to pick up our order. The lobby was packed with people and one hostess was running around trying to do way too much. From what we could see there was one hostess, 2 servers and 2 cooks. Our order was not ready and we had to fight to get the hostess’ attention to find that out. 2 hours after we placed our initial order we cancelled and had to find somewhere else to get food. So sad. Lesson learned, we’ll be going elsewhere

I was mostly impressed by the decor, which seems fancy. However, the sushi was okay. I got the spicy pepper chicken, which was alright. I have a feeling that if they used potatoe starch or corn starch, it would stay crispy and less soggy. I would recommend if you’re in the area, but I won’t be going back.

My wife and I placed an online order for pickup here on August 31st 2025. We ordered two Vegas rolls. I thought the rolls were okay. I think they could have been deep fried a little bit longer. However, my wife loved them. She thought they were so good. I would come back here and possibly try a different roll. I’m not sure if I would choose the Vegas roll again however.

Food is incredibly good and sushi menu is very different from the usual 5 ingredients sushi places . Service is excellent. The bacon crunch sushi roll is my favorite. The schezuan chicken and the fuji chicken are great also.

We ordered the Diva Roll, the Ginger Tofu, and the Tofu Peanut Stir Fry. The sushi tasted fresh. The ginger tofu was a little too sweet and the peanut stir tofu was a bit too greasy to my liking. It would have been nice if these dishes came with a little more rice. Out server was attentive and quick.
