I stopped to fill up with fuel at the gas station on the highway, and asked if there was a good place to grab lunch. The fellow there said a new Himalayan restaurant just opened this week at the motel, and he’d heard good things. Well, he was right, this place is excellent! It’s obviously new, and it’s very clean and bright inside. The owner is very friendly and took the time to tell me all about the special. I ordered the butter chicken, and it was made fresh so it took about 10 minutes to come out… well worth the wait. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the sauce was creamy and spiced (without being “hot”), and the fried rice was as good as I’ve had in a while. The side of green beans and chickpeas was steaming and delicious, and very flavorful. The naan was just a touch thin and greasy but it was still quite good. It’s a little more expensive than I usually pay for lunch ($20 with tip) but it was a great meal. I’ll be back next time I’m near Lincoln!
UPDATE: Ate here again (Sep 2023) and they updated the menu a bit. Still great! Very friendly folks here. Definitely recommend a stop!

We stayed at the Post Rock Motel, and we heard great things about the restaurant, so we had to give it a try! My daughter and I ordered the fried rice with veggies. You can get it with just veggies, or you can add pork or chicken. The menu also said shrimp was available, but when I asked about getting it, I was told they were out of shrimp. Nonetheless, the fried rice was out of this world! It came with a spicy sweet sauce to drizzle over it, and it added a delicious spice to it. We had also wanted to get some frozen yogurt, but that was also out.
The lady that cooked our food was also the person that checked us into the hotel. She is very sweet and a fantastic cook! The restaurant is a small space without much fanfare, and drinks will be from the refrigerated case. The menu doesn’t seem expansive, but what they cook seems to be good. I heard people in Lincoln say that the chicken curry is fantastic. Give the restaurant a try if you are in town!

We LOVE post rock. It is clean and the owner and his wife are friendly and kind. Prices are fair, and the food comes out quick! I would reccomend the chicken chow mein and the tiki Masala. Naan is hot and yummy. We have been twice, and recieved great service both times.

Excellent food, quick and well priced. Everything tastes homemade. Unique flavor of the Himalayas. Try the butter chicken!
Easy to miss building however, could use a sign on the front indicating it’s a restaurant and not part of the hotel.

What a delightful find! This humble property contains the first Himalayan restaurant I’ve seen thus far in the state. Food is prepared fresh with high quality ingredients including fresh cut vegetables, lean meat, and olive oil. Quite good. Wait staff very attentive

My family loves the Post Rock Restaurant! Dil and Bimla are so hospitable, the portions are generous, and the food is delicious. Whether you order a cheeseburger and fries or one of the wonderful Himalayan inspired dishes, you’ll enjoy dining in or getting take-out.

I had burger, it was over cooked and the bun was stale. On top of all that the floor was sticky. The only reason I am giving it two stars so because the buttered chicken was decent. Not to mention the pork fried rice with the pork being very over cooked. Staff was helpful and nice.

The menu prices are not at all accurate, they take your order and then give you the real number after they make the food. I ordered 3 meals and the total should’ve been $42 plus tax. I showed up to get it and she told me $62 dollars because prices went up a long time ago yet none of the online or in store menus reflect this. Sad because the food was good last time I ate there but not $20 a plate good.
