Reviews
We were visiting from Australia for a short time and were recommended Gamba by the “Glasgow’s Good Food Group”—and we are so glad we listened! From the moment we walked in, we received a warm, genuine welcome that set the tone for the evening.
Every dish was spectacular. We started with the tuna tartare and the signature fish soup, both of which were outstanding. For mains, the lobster thermidor was divine, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the monkfish. We finished with a perfect sticky toffee pudding and a special crème brûlée served with a refreshing raspberry sorbet.
The service was impeccable throughout the night. We felt truly spoiled and welcomed. If you are looking for top-tier seafood in Glasgow, look no further. Highly recommended!
It’s definitely worth a visit.
I’m glad I did.
My wife and partner sat down for a pre theatre menu and enjoyed every part of it.
First and foremost I really enjoyed the level of service and attention to detail.
Not many restaurants provide a canapés (mackerel pate with caviar) or provide bread. For me these small things make the experience more enjoyable.
We both really enjoyed a shared started.
My main course of Lemon Sole was perfectly cooked. Side of tender-stem broccoli was cooked just right for us! Chips were also spot on!
My partners meal was beautiful. Great flavours.
A shared Afagato to end it was just the right amount of food for us. The wine paired well with our meals.
I will definitively return to taste more of the à la cart menu.
Unfortunately it was very quiet the night I was there so can’t comment on there atmosphere too much since there was only 3 other tables. But in general a very very nice seafood restaurant. Wl
I will be back.
We settled on the 3 course lunch menu (good range of course choices) with Chef Gemma’s food then being well presented & extremely tasty. Fish soup is tip top!
Lovely well priced wine options to accompany our food choices, so it was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch & it’s safe to say, we’ll be back!
