Don’t knock it just because it is in the mall. This is by far one of the best mexican food joints I have ever been at. The food is amazing! The meat is always seasoned beautifully. Their servings are quite generous. Their burritos and tacos are always loaded up as humanly possible. The staff is professional and super friendly. This is definitely a place I visit multiple times a week!

Food tastes great! Quick service. Birria cup is definitely worth the price for quantity. Portion for sides of rice and beans seemed a bit too so small, it was kind of silly (see picture), but still tasty and I would order it again anyway!

I go here at least twice a week. Torta is to die for, especially if you work a high stress job, nothing beats the refreshing marinated beef. The folks who run it have heart and care for the whole customer and community experience.

I ordered a smaller catering order for my husbands birthday and Taquizas Gabriel did not disappoint! He was happy to help and cater even for a smaller party (I ordered 2, 15 taco trays: 1 shrimp 1 pastor with chips/salsa/peppers/onions) which I was super grateful! The tacos were so fresh and so flavorful and the customer service was wonderful! Made it so easy for me for that day and I’m so grateful! If you need tacos for dinner tonight or for a party, I’d highly recommend getting them from here! My favorite tacos on this side of Santa Cruz/Capitola!

Food was incredible. The quesabirria is to die for and the shrimp burrito is big enough for two meals (and is the best I’ve ever had). Best horchata in town and the service was fantastic!

Wow. All those 5 stars really tricked me. Perhaps they’re coming from the bars or something because this was the worst $40 I’ve ever spent. The bean and cheese burrito was so salty my kid wouldn’t touch it. The “asada” is really crumbled ground beef— think Taco Bell meat—NOT the “asada” your thinking of. The fish taco was inedible. The “chipotle sauce” is literally a fat glob of mayonnaise. Disgusting. I couldn’t even swallow it. Threw the whole plate away immediately. My husband the human garbage disposal didn’t even like it. I’ve never had leftover street Mexican food. The only thing salvageable was the asada fries. I guess the hard churros were also edible. If you’re ever unfortunate enough to eat here, I’d get the fries minus the meat. This brings food trucks to shame. So disappointing & unexpected considering the other reviews. 1/14/2022 6:30pm pickup.

Omg I’ve been looking for good birria in Santa Cruz and at first like every place I tried was eh, but this places birria is good! Also the rice and beans r rlly flavorful compared to other places in Santa Cruz would 100% recommended if you’re craving birria! I got the birria cup so worth it!
