Fried food galore! Perhaps they don’t have a grill, but they have one heck of a fryer and some tasty sandwiches. The ambiance is what makes this place and the patrons are friendly.

The decor is unique and gets more interesting the more details you notice. The layout is great because there are a lot of different areas blocked out so it feels comfy and not overwhelming even when it’s crowded. The food is delicious, and the staff are all so friendly and fun. I’m delighted every time I visit.

It’s a very lively and unique bar near Green Lake. We visited on a Friday night and there were a lot of people.
However, the drinks we ordered were a bit disappointing. Both of them were too sweet and very diluted, and we left without finishing them.
Maybe a good place for hanging out with friends, but it’s definitely a good place if you want to enjoy good cocktails/drinks.

Tommie is the man, served me the best old fashioned I’ve had in a while, lived in Philly SD, back home in Seattle. Collin was Great at the door, recommend.

If I could give a negative rating, I would. The white male bartender wearing a hat with a pin on the left side behaved in a racist and discriminatory manner. He refused to serve me solely because I could not pronounce the drink name perfectly and then called me a “jerk,” which was completely unprovoked. Denying service and insulting a customer because of their accent or language ability is racist behavior, plain and simple. This experience was unacceptable and should not happen at any establishment.

Fun spot! The nautical theme is perfectly executed, and the quirky photo booths and vending machines add to the party atmosphere. The cocktail list is something worth exploring, and the beers on tap are mostly local and top notch. The bar tender was very friendly and made a great drink for us!

Preface: have been going to the Octopus since I turned 21 over 10 years ago and grew up near their original spot.
Popped in this evening at ~8:30PM on 12/12 for post dinner drinks and ordered a pitcher for us to split. After filling the pitcher up, the bartender told us she would not serve our group, took the pitcher away, and didn’t even speak in person to anyone other than the person ordering. Perhaps we were talking loudly or perhaps she just discriminated on our group, but we weren’t going to fight it and left, as arguing with a bartender is not worth it.
All of us were left appalled as we literally had a single beer each before this and had been looking forward to enjoying a Seattle classic spot. Doubt I will return after this experience and unfortunately no longer recommend the Octopus as a bar worth spending your time or money at.

Reasonable drink prices and filling meals served at a late hour! My coworker and I come here after work once a week and I’m grateful to have it as a consistent staple. Also bartenders always nice and chill.

Had a brilliant night at Octopus Bar. Great music playing and Arielle delivered me a perfect Manhattan twice. Nice sea themed bar with so much kitsch & charm. Sailers of all kinds can find good times here. Their kitchen rocks too. Great happy hour.

Usually stop by when I visit Seattle bc it is a fun vibe. But won’t recommend anymore. Bar was half empty and bartender didn’t seem to have any urgency or really care to be there. He saw me seated several times and just ignored. Going out is too expensive and there’s too many places struggling to act like you don’t want customers.
