Decent chili, would definitely get again for $9. Burger was decent but they went a little too heavy on the salt they put on the burger. I was catching giant bursts of nothing but salt every couple of bites. We both asked for our fries well done aka extra crispy, neither order was. I would have scored it higher but it was also a little overpriced and the worst thing: the place was jam packed at 1pm on a Monday and they only have 1 bathroom per gender, not even multiple stalls. That should be rectified as soon as possible.

A Delightful Evening at Little Pub
We had a wonderful dining experience at Little Pub recently. The food was excellent – we ordered the veggie wraps which were fresh and flavorful, and the macaroni and cheese was perfectly creamy and satisfying. To accompany our meal, we enjoyed well-crafted old fashioneds that hit just the right notes.
What really made the evening special was the outstanding service. Our server Payton was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy our meal.
Little Pub is definitely a spot we enjoy. Whether you’re looking for comfort food done right or simply a great place to unwind with quality drinks and good company, this place delivers. Highly recommend!

Well…..i’m name changing this to the “LITTLE DUD” We have been to the Old Saybrook location before all was pretty good. Tonight the only saving grace was our server Amy.
I ordered the Kickin Chicken which arrived burnt, not like the pic, and dried out. Being already hangry I just ate it. I informed Amy who offered a replacement but as stated was hungry. My wife had the over-cheesy no taste French Onion Soup, (salt is a good seasoning). The wings were dry and tasteless along with the fries that were undercooked with a surprisingly dark color. My best guess is that the frying oil was used up as their volume of patrons is extreme.
In closing we will give this place a pass. Im sure there are folks who are happy with the food and thats fine, enjoy! I know good food when I taste it and this missed the entire taste target area. (Oh…. 75.00 flushed away)

First of all, I’d like to say this has been the worst service experience I’ve had in a long while. I stood at the front podium for no less than 15 minutes waiting to be seated while never being greeted at all. The 2 bartenders were talking up a storm with the patrons at the counter and I watched multiple staff members just walking around socializing with each other. I finally was approached by an employee to be asked what they can help me with… I told them I was waiting to be seated. He then took me to a table where the salt and pepper shakers were sticky as if they’ve never been wiped down. So I sat down and a minute later a young lady came to the table with a glass of water, placed it on the table and walked away— not a single word was spoken. The bartender came to the table a couple minutes later and asked if I was ready to order and if I wanted anything to drink. On a side note, I’ll always order water if something is not suggested to me so, I had water.
I ordered the buffalo cauliflower and the meat loaf grilled cheese.
I sat at the table waiting for my food; the cauliflower came out surprisingly fast and I watched the bartender take a drink while putting on someone else’s order being the counter- i do not feel it to be very professional to drink while on the clock, but that’s just me.
All while listening to the loud staff members having conversations instead of trending to their guests?
On the upside, the buffalo cauliflower was pretty tasty. Came with a side of Bleu cheese dressing.
The meatloaf grilled cheese was fairly tasty as well. By the end of my visit I was in somewhat of a better mood.

We went tonight and loved it. It was Friday at 5:10, and totally packed – but we did not wait. Probably got lucky – every seat was filled, including the bar. Seems to me like some of the lower or negative reviews are based on early-opening bugs. Service was smooth, and quick. They did seem (perhaps) under-staffed overall, but the wait staff was hustling. Parking is a bear – bad location for parking (too small for a popular restaurant). Food was great. Good options, some different than traditional restaurants. Pictured is the second half of the Buttermilk Ranch Crunch Wrap (Fried chicken, tater tots, pico, cheddar jack, bbq sauce, buttermilk ranch dressing, held the avocado). Also tried the Cheeseburger Mac N’ Cheese (ground beef, bbq, ranch, bacon bits, tater tot crumbles) and a bacon cheeseburger. Both great. Good portions for the money – we got three entrees and two sodas for $60 after tax. Definitely will return. PS – they do have dessert, but it’s (oddly) not on the menu.

Staff was excellent, friendly and attentive – The price was fine . We stopped in for a quick sandwich, I had a Chicken Bacon sandwich with fries – Sandwich was good , and fries were crispy and hot . We also ordered the macaroni and cheese – here’s where the problem was – it was void of flavor – it wasn’t like a nice crusty cheese layer on top baked macaroni it was more of a boiled macaroni with a flavorless kraft cheese type packet mixed in – both pasta and cheese flavorless – It’s quite possible it’s not advertised in menu as “ baked “ but either way I can’t recommend you order it . Hopefully the owner will taste this dish and make adjustments – I would go back to Little Pub – my sandwich and fries were good. The bar is nice , place is clean and deceptively large – Final note , I did NOT mention our disappointment to server , so they had no knowledge of our disappointment with the dish . The people there were so friendly there that I’m sure they would have made us happy had we spoken up –

Blown away by the American food at lunch today. 10/10 probably best burger I’ve had. Great ratios. But slightly salty I don’t know how I feel about that. Still don’t know why it’s sub 4 stars. I don’t like to be influenced by other reviews or comments. I’m trying to not take this too seriously just doesn’t make sense. At least a 4.3.

tried this place a couple months ago and absolutely loved it. People are so friendly and food is delicious. we have since been back several times. the pretzel and cheese dip is our favorite app. I got the eggplant wrap and that was amazing.

We recently dined at the Little Pub here in Branford and I can’t speak highly enough on the quality of food and the service. The drinks from Mat were amazing especially the Singer Spritz and our waiter Christian was so attentive and knowledgeable on the menu and specialty favorites. The Little Pub is a great addition to Branford and I highly recommend!
