Absolutely my favorite place for sushi when adding together freshness, service, and timeliness. After moving to Massachusetts from Florida, there has barely been any place with real flavor up here. After checking the reviews I saw this place might have some potential for a good price. It’s a small restaurant with a few tables, and the perfect hominess. We wanted to go out somewhere for Valentine’s Day with our baby, not somewhere too crowded considering she’s in her chaotic phase, and we went here. We got a maki party platter for us and a chicken teriyaki for the baby. It’s an adult portion so we decided to have something for her to have lunch and dinner with the next day. The sushi came out and it was so amazing and honestly super fast too. Then came the babies plate, it comes with a miso soup so we were able to get her to try it and she loved that. Then we cut up her food into bite size pieces and as we were preparing it, even though I personally hate chicken, it was SO FLAVORFUL!! We had to keep going back to her plate for tiny bites because it was delicious, the chicken was NOT dry and it felt so clean and refreshing each bite. Then when in regard to the service, WOW the waitress was absolutely the sweetest ever, was so interactive with our baby and attentive to us. Our new regular place for sure.

Really enjoyed this little Japanese spot. Super cozy vibe, friendly staff, and the food was fresh and comforting. Everything tasted homemade and well done, and the portions were just right. Definitely a nice place to grab a relaxed, satisfying meal.

This spot is my Arlington gem. The seafood is fresh and the portion is good. I always order takeout and the food is ready within 20’. I’ve tried another restaurant on Arlington’s top rated list and Umi remains my go-to.
My favorite is the kohaku don. The chirashi bowl and sake bowl are also fantastic. Pictures are takoyaki and sake bowl.

My husband and I have visited this restaurant three times in the past three weeks, and each visit was excellent! We’ve tried a variety of dishes including maki, poke, tataki, sushi, and sashimi, and everything was incredibly delicious. The freshness and taste of the fish were outstanding!
This place is undoubtedly the best sushi spot in Boston and Boston area. The quality of their sushi sets it apart from any other place we’ve tried. We highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates top-notch sushi!

Amazing sushi, wonderful atmosphere, and always a fantastic experience!
Every time we come here it feels like visiting family – from the friendly welcome, to the drinks and soup, and incredible sushi.
This is the most underrated sushi experience. I suspect the only reason this place is not always full is because it just opened up and most don’t know about it. The sushi is better than the other 3 places in Arlington. The service is the best we’ve ever had. The fish is incredibly fresh.
Everything from the sushi menu has been incredibly tasty. The Hako Tuna roll and the mango roll are two favorites from the specialty menu. In terms of nigiri, everything has been delicious and super fresh – we really enjoy the tuna and scallop nigiri. We come here about twice a week and recommend it very highly!

Is this my new favorite sushi place?
Thin ribbon of rice, really fresh tasting salmon and fish and perfectly ripe avocado. Fun creative menu, including the stellar Sandwich maki. Cute window seating area.

Hands down favorite spot for take out sushi in town. Condensed menu keeps focus on the sushi but certainly the tempura can hit the spot. We are repeat customers and if you like Sushi so should you.

Super excited to have a new sushi spot in Arlington! We ordered takeout, which was ready exactly when we expected. They even threw in a free matcha bubble milk tea since it is their first week open. Prices are reasonable and the rolls were delicious. We got miso soup, seaweed salad, and three rolls.

Must say I was pleasantly surprised by this random DoorDash selection, as my sushi experiences elsewhere have been hit or miss.
The three maki rolls I ordered were very well balanced (Tako Tuna, OMG, & Dragon). Nothing was overwhelming anything else in each roll.
The nigiri (saba & tamago) had very well portioned cuts. I also appreciated that they were not over-enlarged with extra filler rice.
But here’s the key that will bring me back again. A GOOD sushi chef will appreciate that attention-to-detail must be paid to everything, even the lowly tamago egg omelette nigiri. If that is executed properly, then you know for certain that the sushi chef has the proper discipline and attention-to-detail for the entire menu. And their tamago was VERY WELL executed!
My only regret is that I did not try them sooner!
