Our first visit to Warsaw camping and fishing at Truman State park! Has been wonderful plus great food from this restaurant! Accommodated our dogs on the outside deck. Our server was Patience who did a really great job attending to our needs. We ordered the shrimp, tenderloin sandwich with fries and coleslaw and all was great! The tenderloin was spectacular according to my husband. Win!
$29.99 for the ribeye you see in the photo. Beware it’s a super THIN cut of meat. The worst quality steak you could find in Walmart, even a flank or flat iron, would be better than this steak. It was truly inedible. The side of mashed potatoes is very similar to the quality of mashed potatoes you’d find in a school or nursing home (clearly a giant bag of instant potatoes that they don’t even season with salt/pepper/butter: utterly FLAVORLESS). My Caesar salad didn’t have shaved Parmesan or really any Parmesan, just Kraft wood pulp. I think it was fraudulent to advertise this meal for $29.99. It was so horrible we abandoned the meal and went to Hilltop and had BBQ so it didn’t ruin my wife’s birthday.
I would HIGHLY advise going to R-Bar. They take a lot of pride in the quality of their menu. I would NEVER buy a steak from here again unless ownership changed. I wouldn’t eat their mashed potatoes for free. We only came here because R-Bar isn’t open on Wednesday and we really wish we had just waited to go out. We will never, ever return here. My wife’s drinks from the bar were horrible. It was the worst meal we have ever had out. It is fraud and false advertising to sell that ribeye meal for $29.99. I could cook up a better steak meal in a hurricane on a charcoal chimney starter. I’m sad for the waitress who had to present that to us. I don’t even blame the cook. The quality of meat and ingredients they’re working with reminds me of my military days. It doesn’t matter what the owners want to say, they took $90 out of my pocket last night on my wife’s birthday for a meal that wasn’t even fit to be sold commercially. It’s a beautiful location but not worth the desperate price gouging. They need to lower prices until they can afford better quality ingredients. Until then I feel they’re taking advantage of people who are just trying to go out for a meal and not get caught up in deceitful advertising. When you ask someone to pay $30 for a ribeye meal, either the steak or the sides need to be better quality than my Army days. I feel taken advantage of and robbed of $90. The only decent item I bought was a bud light and that’s because it came in a bottle.
This is the only restaurant here in Warsaw I will tell people to avoid until something changes.
