I’m still processing what happened. Usually, food at Panera Bread isn’t bad. There are several items on the menu I genuinely enjoy. Today, I was excited to try their new asiago croissant twist. The posters make it look melt-in-your-mouth good, with golden flakes and melted asiago cheese. I was expecting something special. But instead of Anakin, I got the burnt leftovers of Vader, no suit, just burnt leftovers. What I received wasn’t a golden, flaky croissant; it was the husk of a gas station breadstick left on the burner a week too long. A burnt, crusty has-been that once had potential but now lies there as a monument to disappointment.

This Panera location has gone downhill—badly. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10 years, and it’s frustrating to see how much it has declined. The place is severely understaffed, and management is practically nonexistent. The drive-thru is a joke—30+ minutes for three cars? Completely unacceptable. Inside, it’s just as bad. One person handling the register, preparing food, and packing orders? No wonder the service is ridiculously slow. On top of that, dirty dishes are overflowing, and no one is cleaning them. The lounge area is filthy—and this is just as lunch is starting. This place is in serious need of new leadership and staff before it drives away every last customer.

If you have eaten at Panera, this one is no different. They lived up to expectations with the taste of the food and the general cleanliness of the dining area. When we arrived it was busy but seemed under control. We ordered and found a spot to sit. Promptly following, our buzzer went off informing us the order was ready. My food was good and correct but they forgot to put the chicken on my friends chicken Caesar salad. The lady sitting next to us also had her order prepared incorrectly. Both orders were fixed promptly and courteously. Overall a good eating experience.

I had such a disappointing experience at Panera today. I went through the drive-thru and ordered a mac and cheese, expecting something fresh for the $11 they charge. Instead, I watched the employee literally pour the mac and cheese out of a plastic bag straight into the to-go bowl with no gloves on, then stick it in the microwave. I get that some items are prepped ahead, but the way it was handled was honestly unacceptable. For a place that advertises quality food, this was really disappointing. Definitely not worth the price, and I won’t be ordering that again.

Wanted to share in hope they will bring back the old frosted cookies. I just tried the new white chocolate coated pumpkins, and they are nothing like the amazing frosted shortbread they had previously. I loved often buying those for my family in each season, but these do not taste like Panera quality.

I think they had a few call outs. The manager obviously was clueless that the two girls needed help. When the manager finally came up front on cash…she literally stood there staring at me. I finally said ummm can I order?? No good morning, can I take your order… definitely not the Panera atmosphere expected.

Usually I come and get good serving my order is correct. Today, same good service, but I order a whole Roast turkey, avocado blt. Well today no avocado, so that is why I didn’t do 5 stars. It ruins the sandwich for me. But they do have good service, so I will return. I will just check my order before leaving now
