I spent about $55, and it was absolutely worth it. The service was quick and very friendly, and the restroom was clean which is always a big bonus for me.I loved the self serve veggie and condiment bar for the burgers. Such a great touch. The fried pickles were AMAZING (I’m a huge fried pickle fan), and honestly everything we ordered was delicious. The free beans were also really good! The only thing that upset me during my visit was noticing that there were at least 10 customers and no one tipped. I know everyone feels differently about tipping, but I personally tip 15–18%. I didn’t have cash, so I CashApp’d the gentleman his $10 tip because the service deserved it. Overall, great food, great service, and a clean, welcoming place. I will definitely be coming back!

So I have a friend who just moved here from out of state who wanted to try legends. She insisted that she’s wanted to try it since she first got here but could never find anyone to join her so I made myself available and we went. Things were going good until… she wanted ice cream. So we both get ice cream. I get the butter pecan which was solid and Firm. She gets the salted caramel. that’s when a fairly decent experience took a turn for the worst. My friend could not understand why her salted Karma looked like he melted sherbet and for that I had no idea. I do not know the conversation between the young lady and my friend, but I am aware that the woman who told the younger server that they would not refund my friend her money for the ice cream nor would they let her try any other flavor said she was not the manager, but she does not make the decisions, but it was clear that the young lady followed the instructions of the older cashier that took our order. So when I inquired of the more mature employee, why she would not allow my friend to try a different ice cream or give her a refund. She clearly told me “I am not the manager. I do not make the decisions here“. And that’s when in the middle of our adult Conversation the young server Rose her eyes at the new resident of this wonderful little town and the new resident lost it, but before she lost it because the Young server rolled her eyes and it was clearly that the employees were gonna stand together, no matter what.
As a business professional, I understand finding people to represent your heart and the integrity of your business as passionately as the owner does but win a $60 meal for two hamburgers, two onion rings and order fried pickles, and a sweet tea that taste unsweet and two scoops of ice cream later isn’t enough to let someone try a different flavor because they think that the salted caramel tasted all in freezer burnt, which is a possibility if they were scraping it off the sides that means it’s been there long enough for people to eat up all the good parts IJS, the answer as to why didn’t she just bring it back as soon as she got to the table, that’s because she sat there and compared hers to mine and complained about it and swirled a spoon around in the already soft serve yogurt/sherbet looking homemade ice cream. She finally decided “I can’t do this. This taste horrible.”
You keep your staff, and I’ll find another $60 hamburger restaurant for new comers to Jacksonville and experience our”wonderful” community…
PS I didn’t take any pictures of her ice cream or mine. There were pecans in every bite and clearly Henry’s homemade butter pecan ice cream was not a typical vanilla ice cream with pecans in it. It was way more than that but this post isn’t about how great I thought his butter pecan ice cream was this post is about how the person who’s not from here spent $60 on a meal for two people and did not get to experience The same level of greatness that I did. But I did take a picture of her “nastygram” (her note on how she was treated). #MyLongestPostEver

Homemade burger with condiments bar so you can dress your burger the way you like.
The complimentary beans are a Must.

Actually one of the best burgers I’ve had. So very good. I highly recommended. Doesn’t taste like processed junk. You can tell it’s real meat, and it’s good quality. I audiably said “mmmmmm” when I took my first bite. If you’ve never been, you need to try it.

We enjoyed this place, the food was great and the service was good. They had just opened up and the place was already jumpin! But we still received our food in a timely manner. Way to go, it’s nice to still have a nice burger joint around.

This place is based on a good ol boy America hamburger and cheese burgers. The atmosphere here is very family friendly, a great place to hold a small event or business meeting. You order the meal and wait for your burger to come out. Instead of the kitchen putting all your toppings on. You’re able to put your own toppings on and, creating your own burger.
The meat is served hot and so fresh, and oh my the taste of the hamburger. I have to say for the true all American burger, this is the SPOT
I would list this place in the top 3 in 10
I truly appreciate a real burger.

I’ve been to Legends quite a few times over the years, but I think today is my last time. The meat was overcooked and dry. I’ve asked, in the past, if they would leave it pink in the middle, but they refuse to do that. I know it’s not a health law restriction, because I do it at Chili’s all the time. Here’s the thing, you can cook a burger until it’s done and maintain juiciness, but you have to remove it from the griddle as soon as it’s done. It also had very little flavor. I gave it 2 stars, because the vegetable bar has very fresh toppings and the beans are good.

Another great place! I had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were homemade, and the breading was just right! They also had some red beans that we were able to get. Sooo good! The server was great and very pleasant!
