The twice-cooked pork was decent and so was the rice. The fried rice and the egg drop soup were delicious, but the sushi was just okay since it could’ve used some more rice vinegar in the sushi rice. Overall, I would order from them again just that I’ll go elsewhere for sushi.

The food is very mediocre, it’s gone down hill over the years for sure. The crab Rangoon I can taste the freezer burn. Then the fried rice was mashed fried rice, which was very soggy and just nasty.

I had a fantastic experience at Oriental Bistro and Grill KS! The restaurant’s convenient location with ample parking immediately caught my attention. Inside, the ambiance, while reminiscent of a traditional Chinese eatery, could use a touch of modernization. However, the serene atmosphere ensured a peaceful dining experience.
During my visit, the service was solid, on par with what you’d expect during lunch hours. The menu truly impressed me with its wide array of dishes spanning Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese cuisines. It’s a culinary journey all in one place!
As for the food itself, every dish we ordered was a delight to the taste buds. The chefs truly know their craft, as the flavors were spot-on. While the presentation was typical for Chinese cuisine, the focus here is undoubtedly on taste.
I also found the prices to be reasonable, aligning well with the quality and portions they offer. Speaking of portions, they didn’t hold back – the serving sizes were generous and satisfying.
In conclusion, Oriental Bistro and Grill KS is a gem worth visiting. With its diverse menu, delicious flavors, and ample parking, it’s a great spot to explore various Asian cuisines. While the interior could use some sprucing up, the overall experience left me thoroughly satisfied.

It’s been awhile since we ate here, but we always try to stop by here for dinner when we are in Lawrence. They offer various different asian entrees from various Asia countries. They have dishes from Thai, Vietnamese, Singapore, Korean, Japanese, Indian and many more. They also have a hidden authentic Hong Kong menu that you have to ask for if interested. We usually get the crispy pork belly with ginger sauce and some sushi items. Also, depending on the season they do offer seasonal menu items to try. Definitely a worth visit restaurant

I love, love, love Oriental Bistro! Seriously my favorite restaurant in town! Most recent dine-in was a great experience, our waiter was not only extremely attentive but had a shockingly good memory. Never wrote anything down and got it all 100% correct. Highly recommend!

This place does not deserve one star AT ALL! Five million stars! The staff was so friendly and willing to tell us everything in each dish we asked about. We went on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn’t busy. We all also ordered from their authentic menu, which they do not give out unless you ask for it. It’s also a big list and I imagine the best food comes from this menu. My brother got the potato chicken, my sister got the chicken curry rice, and I got the 3 chicken bowl. My brothers and mine has sliced ginger in it which made our dishes taste very fresh and wonderful! My sister’s had the deep fried chicken and the curry was very tasty. We also ordered the sake which…is sake so if you like that I’m sure it’s the same everywhere, and the Asian Mist drink was very tasty. We also ordered the…I forget the appetizer name- it’s fried with cream cheese. It’s very popular at Chinese restaurants, and I’m not one for cream cheese, but this one was the best one I’ve ever had. I ordered the firecracker roll appetizer. I thought it was a sushi roll but it was actually more like an egg roll, and IT WAS AWESOME! Served with sweet chili sauce on the side. It was delicious! Definitely come here! Also they said they have $1 sake on Mondays.

A new must. The tempura appetizer was delicious with cream cheese and sauces. Coral reef roll was another incredible hit without rice. Seafood encircled with cucumber.
Delicious is an understatement. Brian was an excellent server with full menu knowledge.

Extremely disappointed! The food is not great, and the most ridiculous aspect is the tiny portions served for the entrees! We ordered water-boiled fish; it cost $18, and we received only four tiny pieces of fish!!! Most of the food tasted like it was microwaved from frozen instant meals. We do not need to support business like this.
TO THE OWNER: if you have fixed amount of food, then you need to adjust your price.

The fried dark meat chicken (from the curried rice bowl) is to die for! 10/10 crispiness with a hint of honeyed sweetness. Not pictured was a wonton appetizer, with a delicious soy sauce vinaigrette.
The atmosphere alone is worth experiencing. The server was also incredibly friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to come back and try something different – the menu has so many tasty items that it was hard to choose!

This place is great! We went for lunch and it was very reasonably priced. I recommend the chicken lettuce wraps as they were delicious. We also got the chicken lo mein and the sesame chicken and they were also great. Definitely recommend this place!
