Had an awesome lunch with my baby girl. Our waiter made our little date more special by making my daughter a mocktail He was super attentive and gave us a great service. ( Too bad I didn’t catch his name) The food was amazing as well. As a former Bartender I really appreciate a good service!!

I recently celebrated my granddaughter’s 16th birthday at Toros in Oxford, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and deeply concerning. What should have been a joyful family birthday dinner turned into an evening filled with disrespect and behavior that we believe was racially motivated.
Our party included my granddaughter, her friends, my two daughters, my son, and myself. From the start, I noticed the waitress speaking to the girls at the far end of the table with a scolding tone and harsh facial expressions. At first, I could not hear all of the comments, but the girls later told me the waitress made multiple rude and harassing remarks throughout the evening.
One incident I personally witnessed involved a young girl politely asking for a condiment that had not been brought to the table. Instead of simply addressing the request, the waitress spoke to her in a very disrespectful manner, telling her to “be quiet and respect when grown-ups are talking.” Both my daughter and I had to address the waitress for speaking to a child in that tone. She attempted to apologize, but by that point, the atmosphere had already changed.
The situation escalated further when the waitress sent the owner over to our table. Rather than calmly trying to resolve the situation, he approached us in a rude and confrontational manner. I made it clear to him that the way he was speaking to us was unacceptable, at which point he quickly walked away. After the confrontation, I then had to walk with the children to the restroom in concern that they would be mistreated for any reason. Not acceptable. When it was time to sing Happy Birthday to my granddaughter, the staff did not come over to sing with us. Later another group were celebrating a birthday and the staff went over and sang with the group. I will not say what race they were. I’ll let you guess.
After everyone finished their meals and paid, I approached the owner directly. I told him that if he did not want to lose customers, he needed to treat all guests with respect, regardless of the color of their skin. I explained that it is not just what you say, but how you say it, and that his behavior—as a business owner—was completely out of line. He ultimately apologized, but the damage had already been done.
I do not tolerate racism, and unfortunately, that is exactly what my family experienced at Toros. The children were harassed, belittled, and treated differently. Based on our experience, this was the worst treatment that I have endured. I advise that you may not want to reconsider dining at this establishment if you have numerous black teenage youths with you. These young ladies did not deserve how they were treated.
This is a warning to others: Treat everyone with dignity and respect. Toros failed to do that for us.

I’m vegan and got the Toros Bowl customized with all the veggies possible – yum!
The shaker drinks are amazing too! Got the Blue Coco and my mom got the Berry one. Not too sweet, just the right amount of alcohol.
Wish we lived closer so we could make this a regular dining spot.

As a taco lover, I am always on the lookout for good Mexican food. And I found it here! Not only is the food great, the servers are friendly. It doesn’t matter who the server is, they are going to take care of you. And the food is top shelf! I’ve tried several things on the menu. Never been disappointed! This place is in my regular rotation!

Talk about GREAT! Toros Cantina hit all the marks! The restaurant is welcoming and fresh with a great vibe. Our waiter Jason was the best! Very attentive with a great personality. We enjoyed it all from the appetizers to the entrees and please please please don’t forget the drinks. This place is family friendly and great for a date night. The restrooms where very clean as well. Looking to be impressed stop by and give them a try.

Toros in Oxford has amazing food with GF, and vegan options. My family visits at least once a week (sometimes twice). All of the staff is amazing, but we often ask for ViVi, when she is working. she pays attention to detail, glasses never go empty and she genuinely wants to know how our family is doing. So glad we have this gem in our small town.

Everything was good only issue was the owner who decided to make a big deal. I ordered 2 cocktails for me and the misses to try we are both of legal age and it was my wife’s birthday. He then tried to rush my wife and I out personally I was very confused. tipped the waitress who was very nice the whole time and left will not be returning.

We have been in this place three times when we are in the area and they always have great and consistent flavors!!! They have a great environment, everyone is welcome! Their servers are very friendly and quick with the service! I feel it’s the best Mexican restaurant in the area and they have such a good selection of food that you will not go wrong with any of them. Their plates are very generous with the portions and they keep an authentic Mexican flavor! We have tried different things, my favorites are the Birria quesadilla, ACP trip (super delicious) pollo Feliz, and chicken flautas!!! I highly recommend it
