At West Side Bar & Grill, we feature popular local dishes prepared plantation style. Most of our recipes have been handed down from generation to generation from family and friends who worked on plantations both here on O’ahu and on Molokai. Plantation workers of various ethnicities shared food with one another which resulted in delicious combinations that exist nowhere else on Earth! A true testament that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Chef Johnny: Life is about creating moments. Living in Hawai’i has always been about sharing good times and great food with family and friends. I enjoy making folks happy and watching them create their own moments!

West Side Bar is definitely a vibe. The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and the perfect spot to relax, whether you’re out with friends or just stopping by for a drink. The energy in the place really stands out and makes you want to stay longer.
If Tina is working the tabs, you’re in great hands. She is absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. Drinks come out fast, she remembers what you like, and she makes everyone feel welcome. Her positive energy and great service really elevate the whole experience. Between the great vibe and Tina behind the bar, West Side Bar is easily one of the best spots to hang out.

Hands down one of the best places my family have been to in the island ️. Do not be deceived by this place or the location. It literally blows the doors off any fancy restaurant around ! Unfortunately, our experience here didn’t quite live up to the positive reviews we’d read. The floors were in rough shape and felt a bit unsafe, and the music was so loud that it was hard to hold a conversation at the table.
Food-wise, there were a few issues — the green beans still had stems attached, the burger patty tasted frozen, and the pork was quite dry. The presentation was a bit odd as well, with the meal arriving alongside a two pound bottle of ketchup. Despite being the only table in the restaurant, our food took over 30 minutes to arrive, and we were told the draft beer was unavailable.
On a positive note, the wait staff was friendly and accommodating, which we really appreciated. Overall, we left disappointed and hope some of these areas improve, as the restaurant clearly has potential (the fries were actually incredible).

This place is an absolute disgrace. The moment I pointed out that my drink was made wrong, an employee completely lost it and yelled for someone to “get her out of here.” All because they messed up an order. Unreal.
The manager tried to smooth it over and said they’d remake the drink, but then some girl — who didn’t seem to know a single thing about her job — decided to jump in and tell me to leave. The arrogance and ignorance were off the charts.
If this is their idea of customer service, they shouldn’t even be in business. Treating a paying customer like trash because they can’t handle making a simple drink correctly? Pathetic.

We found this amazing place on google and we’re so glad we did! We loved Rina! She was so personable and sweet! I told her to make me a fruity drink! Not only did she deliver one amazing drink but two different drinks just as good! I ordered the garlic chicken with fried rice and it was delicious! I’ve never had anything like it before. My husband ordered the beer battered Mahi sandwich with the garlic fries and he said it was delicious as well! If we ever come back to Oahu this will be a staple for us! Thanks Rina and Mahalo!! ❤️

This was such a wonderful sports bar! We’re just visiting, but reading the other reviews we decided to try it out. It’s been the best place we’ve tried since we got here! The drinks were to die for, the food was VERY good (and big!) and Marina was so nice! My dad said this was the best fried rice he ever had. If we lived here we’d come all the time!

❌ALERT: Leaving this review for awareness so that other people don’t have to deal with this kine pilau stuff.
Me and some others pit stop here for a few drinks on August 2 before making our way to town. I didn’t think much about it but after I had given my card to the Bartender to pay I had them tipped her cash $30 off just 2 drinks which if you ask me is pretty damn good tip. And stilllllll……
The next day I get notified that an additional almost $40 tip was written off by the bartender and taken off my card without permission.
Nothing has yet been done and I hoping someone from this establishment can contact me concerning this issue and resolving it. I will update my review but until then stay alert people and do your due diligence. K Aloha

The first impression was the extremely loud music, this wasn’t live music it was playing out of speakers. You could barely hear people talking or our waiter. Next we asked for 2 waters and the water tastes like dirt. We got our food and the food did not taste good. It lacked flavor and something was off with it. Needless to say the next day we both got food poisoning and this ruined our last few vacation days in Hawaii. I don’t recommend this place for anyone.
