It was really, really good.
This ranks very highly up there among the best fried chicken I’ve had in Seattle.
The reason for this primarily stems from how amazing the breading is. They find every craggly, flaky bit possible, and fill every square inch of the breading with it.
It’s absolute heaven if you’re looking for crunch. I’ve never had fried chicken with this good of a breading before – every single bite, throughout all the pieces, are just filled with crunchy bits that just feel like heaven.
Also on the breading – the seasoning is very good. I taste a strong mix of salt, pepper, and herbs – it’s like an upgraded version of KFC’s original herbs and spices.
It’s pretty oily, but reaching right up to that borderline where it’s almost too oily, but never quite gets past that point. Your fingers will be soaked at the end of this, though
The inside is also mostly phenomenal. While I thought the leg piece was very much lacking in meat, the wing and thigh were tremendously juicy. It was practically the perfect level of what I want chicken meat to look like
The one other small issue I had was there was no heat at all. I asked for it ‘hot’, but there seemed to be zero chili powder involved in the spice mix.
I got the poutine as a side. Unfortunately, this was actively bad. The fries were unsalted, felt stale and soggy at the same time (even the ones not touched by the gravy) and just felt super floppy. The cheese was overly hard and not pleasant at all. I threw this away halfway through eating it – it was just bad. It’s a pity, because I would’ve liked this place so much more had I just not ordered the poutine.
For the price, it’s on the expensive side – $20 for 3 pieces of fried chicken + a side is a lot, but not terrible
Overall, I think the fundamentals of this fried chicken are all-time good, ranking as some of the best I’ve ever had. Don’t order anything else though. 8.75/10
It wasn’t too full on this day which was nice because we were able to get a table pretty easily! They do a boozy brunch too but we just did food.
Their portions are pretty big, so keep that in mind when ordering. I would recommend getting the half size if they offer it for your dish!

P.S. The Popcorn Chicken was phenomenal!
i ordered the 1-piece reaper chicken and it absolutely humbled me. it’s very rare that i find something too spicy — this was one of those times. 5⭐️ for discovering a way to wreck my insides in a way my husband never could
There were a few kinks in the process.
First, after being directed to the tap list online I ordered a beer only to be told it was out. I was told the replacement was a hazy beer from Bale Breaker. That is like saying a vehicle is a car from Ford. I asked the name and the server could not remember but gave some hints about the name and said I could find it on the brewer’s website (I did). This is unacceptable. Bar staff and servers should know the names of the beers they are serving in a bar. This is simple and basic.
Next, something was wrong with the beer. It was flat and distinctly different from the last time I drank it. It was graciously replaced with something else. This happens so no big deal, but I do appreciate the quick correction.
On to fried chicken. There was fried chicken plates and fried chicken sandwiches ordered. One friend said the fried chicken was way better than that he had a day previously at a Korean fried chicken place. This is subjective and different chicken but still a positive review. The others noted the chicken sammies were some of the best they ever had.
My chicken was tasty and juicy but slightly over cooked. The collards were tasty and the mashed potatoes were beaten smooth.
Lots of interesting cocktails. The setting is cozy. There are several seating options and a couple of TVs going.
I’ll go back to try the fried chicken sandwich, maybe a smash burger or something else.
All in all a recommended place.
Don’t forget to try out their garlic aioli sauce!
Otherwise seemed like a great place: good service, friendly people, good vibe.
