Got seated quickly because we had a reservation. Ordered our drinks and they came out in a timely manner. Ordered our main and sides and all came out hot to heat and perfectly cooked. While waiting on our main dish we got bread with a butter that was to die for. After we ate we ordered a desert and it was very good as well. Everything was full of flavor hot to eat and environment was nice and easy to talk in.
You gotta try this place I have to say it’s one of the better places in winder for sure
I don’t know who Chloe is, but I would be ashamed to have my name on this restaurant.
We were seated at the smallest table in the restaurant, wedged next to a column with maybe nine inches of clearance between our table and the back of another guest’s chair. Throughout the night, patrons and waitstaff repeatedly squeezed through, dragging themselves across our table. It was cramped, uncomfortable, and frankly disgusting.
It took 10–15 minutes just to be acknowledged by a server. Once service began, it became immediately clear that the staff was severely untrained. We ordered a bottle of wine, and our server did not know how to open it; I had to open it myself. While she was polite and kind, she never once returned to refill water or wine glasses. There was no semblance of proper table or wine service.
The real failure, however, was the food. My wife and I both ordered filet mignon, cooked mid-rare. Hers arrived perfectly cooked and looked great. Mine looked like it came off a Waffle House grill – gray throughout, barely pink in the center, and closer to medium-well than anything resembling mid-rare. After waiting another long stretch just to get our server’s attention, I sent it back.
The replacement was even worse, thinner, more overcooked, and genuinely tough and leathery. At that point, I gave up. If a steakhouse can’t cook a filet correctly twice, there’s no point continuing. I didn’t eat dinner that night.
They did comp the steak itself, but still charged me for the side I ordered (and couldn’t eat), and no manager ever came by to check on the table ;even after two clearly failed entrées. A free dessert was offered, which completely missed the point. I didn’t want dessert. I wanted to leave.
In the end, I paid about $100, roughly $30 for wine and $70 for my wife’s meal, just to sit there and watch her eat while I went hungry. For a New Year’s Eve “steakhouse experience,” this was cheap, crude, lazy, and deeply unprofessional. Whoever is responsible for cooking steaks here has no business working in a kitchen.
I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone
For the main course, I had the filet mignon with a Caesar salad, and it was simply incredible tender, juicy steak paired with a fresh, well-seasoned salad.
Overall, the food was phenomenal, and the service was even better. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to.
100% recommended!
My daughter and I both ordered steaks (hers a filet and mine the strip). The temps were nailed perfectly. I was impressed that there was almost no gray band, jusy nice pink almost all the way to the nicely seared top and bottom. The steaks were nicely seasoned, and had nice sears without being burnt. The mashed potatoes were fine, nothing special but not bad.
My wife as the seafood linguine, which had salmon, shrimp and plenty of bay scallops. I tried a bite, and it also great. Very tasty creole seasoning without being too salty. The salmon and shrimp were also nicely cooked. It’s common to get rubbery shrimp in dishes like this, but not here.
We had the chicken lollipops as an app, which were good, and my daughter the creme rules. The only thing underwhelming was the bread.
Overall great dinner, and my wife and I will definitely come back for a date night.
I highly recommend the salmon and the NY steak both cooked to perfection, juicy, and full of flavor. The risotto was another highlight, creamy and absolutely delicious.
Service was attentive, and the overall experience was nothing short of exceptional. If you’re in Winder and looking for a top-tier dining experience, this is the place to go.
Although we don’t drink alcohol, we are excited to watch live bands on the balcony when it gets warmer. (Although, they have outdoor heating if you don’t want to wait).
10 out of 10. Wonderful experience.
