The consommé alone makes this place worth trying, but the execution across the rest of the plate is inconsistent. Some elements shine, others feel overlooked.
The quesabirria tacos are the highlight. The meat is tender, and the onions and cilantro are very fresh. Serving the onions and cilantro on the side is a smart move — especially for those who think cilantro tastes soapy — and it gives customers control while preventing kitchen mistakes. The consommé has a wonderful bouquet of flavor and truly ties the dish together. That said, the tacos could use a little more salt to enhance the seasoning, and there’s slightly too much cheese, which takes away from the essence of a traditional birria taco.
The salsa is really tasty with a nice blend of spices that complements the meal well.
The sides were the biggest disappointment. The refried beans lacked flavor beyond the natural bean taste, and the rice was overcooked and appeared as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for some time. It felt like significantly less care went into these compared to the tacos.
At $20, the portion size is more than enough for one person, so the value is solid.
Service was mixed. The initial greeting — “Are you picking up a to-go order?” — felt impersonal and slightly profiling based on how I was dressed. However, once seated, the table service itself was quite good and attentive.
There’s clear potential here, especially with that consommé, but consistency across the entire plate would elevate the experience significantly.

Dope Soul
My mind is changed. I did like this place until today. I got my usual order today, the super burrito only veggies. I got my daughter a bean n rice burrito. Well I specifically order these with no meat or cheese. My daughter and I have a dairy allergy and we don’t eat meat. My super burrito had sour cream all in it and my daughters had cheese on top. Jonathan repeated the order back twice. I wasn’t aware until we got home as it was a to go order. I called and asked for a manager the boy who answered the phone said there was no manager in and he was in charge. I asked his name and he said Ryan but sounded very much like the person who took the order who on the receipt said Jonathan. I told him about the issues and he says well that’s not my problem that’s the kitchen. I said sir you have horrible customer service, you can’t say that. He said I don’t care. I’ve never experienced this before with this restaurant. The carelessness and poor attitude of the “manager on duty” when I explained the allergy was distasteful. I hope the owner see this and contacts me.

I looove this place. 90% of the time the food is consistent with quality, taste. I always get the veggie burrito and beans n rice. Excelente!!! There was one time I ordered in the evening and flavor was off but daytime around lunch time is the best.

I have visited this restaurant twice and I must say it was absolutely delicious. I had the chicken fajita and steak fajita on different occasions, and both times it was on point. Always amazing customer service and a great atmosphere. Great price. I recommend this restaurant.

The food was very good & our service was very good. The prices I thought were a tad high. Then there was a service charge on my bill for using a credit card. Society has pushed us to apps and credit cards, so then I have to pay extra for that? Because I didn’t already spend enough on my meal? Not to mention the fact that they get to do a tax deduction on business expenses that includes the fees they have to pay for their customers to use a credit card. Sorry but that made them loss 3 customers.

The food was perfect! This is literally the best taqueria we have found without driving into the city. Our server was so friendly and attentive, the food came out quickly but was piping hot, and the prices are very reasonable. I would totally recommend this restaurant if you love authentic Mexican food.

Solid 3 1/2 almost 4 stars. Good portion. I had the mixed fajita and fried ice cream. It came with sides. I was missing a little more spice. It’s was good. Fried ice cream done right!!!
