A very busy place at lunchtime. The food was awesome. I especially liked the real creamy homemade mashed potatoes and the greens were so tender they almost melt in your mouth. I wasn’t impressed by my fried trout. Not much flavor. Maybe that’s the way trout is. I’d definitely go back again.

Places like this are one of the reasons coming back home is enjoyable. While many restaurants look for ways to cut costs at the expense of good food, Fred’s keeps good food a priority.
A long time favorite of locals and visitors alike, Fred’s offers true comfort food, great service and they even have a full bar.
My wife and I hadn’t been there in a while, but it was just as good as we remembered and hopefully we won’t be as long between visits again.

What a quaint place! Love the atmosphere! Food was delicious! We ordered the pork tenderloin and open face turkey sandwich. AMAZING! Didn’t have room for dessert but took a piece of coconut pie togo… yummy!!! Thank you for an amazing experience!

If you’re ever in Franklin,Va this place is a definite go to if you’re a foodie! This is classic southern comfort food that is done. Everyone here are literally friends and neighbors and you can feel it when you walk in the door. I love this place!

Small town place we stopped at during a rode trip. We were greeted immediately once we entered, coffee came out hot and fresh immediately. Nice Rustic design, fun atmosphere. Food was amazing; service was amazing. A must stop.

Fred Fred Fred oh my goodness. Just passing through town because my son had court so we wanted to come to a town diner so I looked places up and Fred’s was first on the list. We really didn’t know what to expect being this was our first time coming here. But LAWD was this place so good. Service was A1 food came out fast and hot and the portions were great. Everything and I mean everything was good. I scrapped the plate clean and so did my son. The prices were great as well too. Definitely will come back here again and again. A+++++++

A terrific old fashioned diner located in downtown Franklin. Outstanding service and great food. Also has a bar if you would like an afternoon or evening cocktail. Can’t go wrong by having a meal here.

This place was absolutely so cute and quaint!! I wish I had gotten some pictures of the food because it was so delicious! I came into town to visit with family and we were in the Franklin area and we decided on Fred’s and let me tell ya it wasn’t a bad decision. The food was great and the atmosphere was great and our waitress was an absolute menace. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Franklin it’s very cute!! I will be back again!!
