Great friendly staff. Super accommodating. If I didn’t know better I think everything was heated with a microwave. The flavors were almost still there but not as good as they used to be

Went back to try their corned beef sandwich. So glad I did!! Milder flavor than pastrami but just as tender and tasty.

Superb lean cut pastrami sandwich on Rye with mustard on the side. So tender and melt in your mouth. Did not disappoint. They bring you a small bucket of sour kraut and whole pickles for the table to start with. Try the matzo ball soup as an appetizer. A monster size matzo ball is pillowy and flavorful in chicken broth.

Friendly service in a casual, family oriented atmosphere.

It’s been years since I had a hush puppy. So I really appreciate it. It wasn’t as flavorful as I remember, when it was Ben’s but it was good I’ll have to get a sandwich or stuffed cabbage next time. The server was charming.

A year ago I gave 5 stars, tonight, except for the matzoh ball soup, everything was close to inedible. Will never go back.

Absolutely amazing pastrami, matzoh ball soup and kinish. I ordered the full stack, which is enough for two, but I haven’t had a pastrami sandwich in a few years so I eat the whole thing

My visit to Zan’s in Lake Grove was an absolute delight! The hot pastrami sandwich I had was a reminiscent of Katz Deli in NYC but at a more affordable price. The quality of the rye bread was superb—soft and flavorful. The staff was friendly, and the service was remarkably fast, ensuring I had a wonderful dining experience. Zan’s provides the full essence of a kosher restaurant in Long Island. Highly recommend for great food and fantastic service!

Walked in to order a sandwich at 7:30pm. Lady looked at me like I had ten heads!!! This lady was rude from start to finish. I ordered a hot pastrami. Luke warm at best. Excellent flavor. The rye was ok, a nice marble would have been better. It comes with a pair of flavorless pickles. The most frustrating of all of it, the counter help. The woman was just miserable.

I only liked the soup. Mushroom barley. The pastrami sandwich I had wasn’t what I’m use to. Meat sliced too thick, and I’m just guessing it was either in a steam pan or they microwaved it, but it had the consistency of a fruit roll-up made of rubber.

The place looked clean and the service was good. Maybe their other food is good but I wouldn’t know. I was passing through for work and this spot was recommended.

I ordered an overstuffed hot pastrami sandwich. It was delicious and came with two pickles and mustard on the side. Great place for lunch. A little pricey but good quality meat. It was not thinly sliced like the deli. I prefer the thicker cut myself so this was fantastic. I literally had enough to make 2 sandwiches.
Plenty of parking, close to Smithhaven mall. Dining room in the back. Wheelchair accessible.
