We had dinner here last night and were so impressed. The service, atmosphere, and food were all incredible. We ordered the chicken dumplings, chive pancakes, and tom yum soup, and everything was delicious. Tom yum is usually our favorite, and this one was especially fresh and full of flavor. Portions were generous, prices were very reasonable, and the staff was so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this spot for great Thai food

The place is good overall, but given the high rating and price, I was expecting a bit more. Maybe we didn’t order enough—some of the appetizers looked great, but we didn’t have room to try them.
My partner can’t eat spicy food, so we chose dishes without the chili symbol, but they still turned out to be a bit spicy. We ordered the beef curry—the flavor was nice, but the meat was tough to chew. The Thai tea was too sweet and the tea flavor wasn’t strong enough.
Mango sticky rice was good.

Had the lunch special shrimp drunken noodle. Was really good. Appropriate spice. 4 really big, perfectly cooked, seasoned shrimp. I’d say the price is high though. $24 for a a side salad, soft drink and lunch entree doesn’t really feel like a “lunch special” lol

It was my first time ordering food from this place. There are a lot of Thai restaurants in the area and we ended up ordering from AM-THAI because of the high rating. The food was mediocre, pad Thai was way too sour and sweet, the side mixed veggies was so bland, I’m 99% sure there was 0 seasoning in it, not even salt, same for the chicken wonton veggie soup, just bland! I had to get something non-spicy for my daughter, and I understand those are not the main Thai dishes but still, the side was $10, and the soup was $16, I expected more! On top of that, the broccolis in both dishes were covered with black spots! The crab fried rice and zaab wings were OK, the only two editable dishes out of this order. Never again!

Absolutely one of my favorite Thai spots – The Am-Thai!
The space is gorgeous and full of energy — it feels like Williamsburg inside and out. The food is packed with amazing flavors — we had the crab fried rice, wagyu steak, and mango sticky rice for dessert… every bite was perfection. Staff was super friendly and service was quick. 100% coming back.

Had a great dinner here with three other people a couple weeks ago. The food is really good and the drinks were also great and the service was great as well. I would highly recommend the pad. See you and the pad Thai and the crispy chicken was also excellent. This is a great date spot or a great spot to go with friendsfor Thai food in Williamsburg.

My husband and I randomly decided to try this restaurant tonight and wow ! From the moment we sat down the level of service and hospitality we received was incredible. Dodo and Mario were so nice it actually made us more excited for the meal, which was just as amazing as the service. You could really taste the flavor from the wok with the stir fry that you don’t always truly get at some Thai restaurants. Everything was very fresh and authentic tasting. Perfect place for a nice local date night or casual dinner with a friend. Highly recommend.

AM-Thai is a cozy little spot. It can feel a bit small, but once you sit down, order a craft Thai beer, and enjoy good conversation with your friend, you’ll quickly forget about that.

I went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy, so I’d recommend making a reservation. We ordered the Papaya Salad and Crying Tiger Wagyu Beef—such a perfect combination! (Tip: if you’re adventurous, ask for it “Thai spicy” ️).

Honestly, those two dishes would have been enough for two people, but I couldn’t resist ordering the Khao Soi with Crispy Pork. My friend and I happily ended the night in a food coma .

The service was great—attentive without being overbearing, and very friendly.

I’d definitely love to come back again and bring more friends to help share the food .

We visited Williamsburg and stopped here for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was quiet and clean, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Both dishes we ordered were outstanding. The crispy pork was perfectly crisp, not greasy, and paired wonderfully with the Chinese broccoli.

Our server was incredibly attentive and kind. Noticing I was sneezing, he thoughtfully brought extra napkins without me asking. Highly recommend!
(PS. He really looked like Daniel Wu!!)

Just found my new go-to Thai spot in Williamsburg. Amthai is such a hidden gem . It has a cozy vibes, the sweetest staff , and literally everything we tried was so good. The creamy Tom Yum soup is so rich and flavorful. The dry crab noodles are amazing. Also they have Happy Hour from 12-6PM daily (yes, even weekends) . Some appetizers are just $9.95 and they got a $9 Aperol Spritz . That’s way too good to pass up. Perfection spot for a chill lunch or early dinner. If you are in the area , definitely check them out.
