I’m from Ohio. There’s much in Ann Arbor that I like. I like Izzy’s. Easily the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. I have had my fair share of cheesesteaks in my life, the best cheesesteak. Go to Izzys if you get the chance.

Been coming here for decades now and I can confidently say this is my favorite cheesesteak in the world, and yes I’ve been to Philly at least a dozen times. The staff are awesome, food is made to order, there’s just something special about this place to me. I crave these sandwiches and will come anytime they’re open and I’m in Ann Arbor. Only thing that’d make it better is if they were open on Sundays so I could indulge any day of the week.

Izzy’s Hoagie Shop is hands-down the best cheesesteak in town and a true westside staple. I’ve been coming here for about 15 years, and it’s consistently excellent every single time. The cheesesteaks are packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and never disappoint. This is one of those places you keep coming back to because it’s just that good. My boyfriend and I stopped in here on vacation. It was amazing. The food is excellent and the staff is so nice. The restaurant was closing and they waited to close until we were finished eating. I love the atmosphere. Such a great place! Highly recommend. It will be a place we come back to every time we visit there.

PIcked up today, for the first time in years, two 6″ steak hoagies. Thinly sliced steak? How about ground chuck. Onions? Didn’t see any or taste any. American cheese? What cheese. Grilled bun? Just hot. Had fries, too. Starchy. So disappointed. I’ll stick to Stadium Blvd reliables like Bell’s and the Holiday.

if you get the cheese steak sandwich or lobster soup you’ll be fine . but the mac and cheese was microwaved twice and still cold and the steak egg rolls were hard and dry not good at all. unable to finish our meal. i’m used to eclectic egg rolls from Eastern Mkt which are amazing. also saw two roaches . sorry guys wanna love your place. making good food is not hard step up your game

This place is an Ann Arbor institution. It is not fine dining. It is great comfort food. Delicious hogies,fries,soups, and more. The meatball sub used to be my favorite had not been in years. I went back today it was just as good as I remembered. I’m glad this place survived all the hard times and is still serving up top-notch food. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Amazing cheesesteak.
I asked for 1/2 in the restaurant and 1/2 to go and they totally took care of me. The half to go was wrapped so well, it was pipping hot 20 mins later.

Vice -Versa
Izzys hoagie shop is great for the tastebuds, sandwiches are always super fresh. Desi has great customer service and has knowledge of the good stuff on the Menu, while having a awesome personality. Super happy with the adjustments to the Schedule adding a few hours to the days definitely makes the challenge of making it here on time less daunting. One of the best Hoagie and Sandwhich spots in Town.
