Have a cottage on Newfound (2+ years now) and after seeing this place on NH Chronicle we decided to try it. We came by on a Sunday am in August, first thing – and good thing too as there was a line to get in. Very nice, very clean establishment. We purchased a loaf of fresh bread; I got a muffin and my wife ordered a breakfast sandwich and we split a coffee. After a short wait, we were handed a bag containing our goods (or so we thought), paid, wondered around the place a little bit to check out the t-shirts and such, then left.
However, once we arrived back at our place, we realized the bag never contained the breakfast sandwich. In retrospect it appears it takes a little more time to make that – but at no time did the counter-girl mention that “your breakfast sandwich will be right out” or such. My wife and I miss-assumed they were pre-made (like McDonalds) in advance, and kept on a warming rack, until time of purchase.
Well apparently not and at that point it just wasn’t worth going back from our place on the lake so we just wrote it off as a learning experience-loss and frankly remain a little PO’d till this day – as we are reminded every time we drive by.
My muffin and the bread were good, but we were left with a bad taste in our mouths over the lack of communication from the counter-person.
Won’t be back.

Basic ingredients such a cute little place by the lake. The food was so good. We had scones that were homemade and were delicious. The girls at the counter are so sweet and all smiles. We love this place and keep going back every time we visit the lake.

So disappointing. I remember two years ago, walking in to the lovely ladies, outback, and hot pies coming out of the oven Scones and cookies ready to be snatched up and eat on the beach that day. I walked in. And no one greeted me. It was very confusing. They said they had no products because of a catering order that day. Unfortunately, it looks like they’ve expanded their business to serve regular food and not stay with their tried and true go to of delicious pies and baked goods. The baked goods that were there a few cinnamon rolls and such muffins looked scan and rushed nothing like I remember from the years past. Sometimes changes good in this instance it just made me sad I won’t return

This is a little tucked away bakery that is only open for a few months a year. They are famous for their breakfast sandwich and sticky buns. They make a wide variety of hand made pies daily. You need to arrive early because they sell out quickly. It’s adorable inside and they have a wide selection of Newfound Lake items for sale in their shop. Definitely a hidden gem

Delicious blueberry lemon scones, and a gift shop to boot! This little shop has both quality baked goods and a gift shop with lots of lake related items for sale such as clothing, ornaments, glassware and home decor. I’ve bought a couple of pairs of quality sweatpants for the upcoming winter season, and they’re exactly what I needed.
Stop by before they close for the season and stock up on some goodies and gifts. I did!
