El Tapatia is a gem! The vibrant atmosphere and warm service make every visit a joy. Their tacos al pastor are bursting with flavor, perfectly balanced with fresh cilantro and onion. The homemade salsas add a delightful kick, and the margaritas are top-notch. Portions are generous, very prices are fair, and the salsa is great. Highly recommend this authentic Mexican spot for a delicious and good service!

I dined here with a large group. The food was enjoyable. I had the chicken and beef fajitas, which were good, but I asked for cheese on top and they ended up putting it on the rice instead. The place was tidy and ready for a fiesta!

So nothing about this is authentic Mexican food the menu descriptions are not correct I ordered a Pollo Sinaloa it says it was a chicken breast with vegetables I did not get a chicken breast I got a chicken breast cutlet which is a thin piece of sliced chicken breast. Also I’ve been here twice both times the toilet clogged the toilet clearly does not work properly I even tried my hardest to plunge it with the plunger couldn’t get it to go down and when I left I had two workers run out to the parking lot and point at us how weird how strange that you have a toilet that’s open that doesn’t work the chile rellenos don’t even come with a sauce this is not Mexican food

Vibrant and very colorful atmosphere in the restaurant with multicolored chairs and decorations all over the dining area. Customer service was very good, however, the handheld Veggie Burrito I ordered had too many vegetables in it and was way too cheesy. I did not request zucchini and yellow squash in my Burrito, however, it came with those two vegetables inside my Burrito. In addition, there was lettuce, tomato, sour cream, rice and beans in it. The Burrito was too full and soggy for it to be picked up and eaten. The complimentary nachos and spicy salsa that came with the Burrito was very good. The salsa had a spicy kick to it. Also, I think the price for the Burrito was slightly overpriced compared to other Mexican joints.

Fun atmosphere!
Wayyyyy overpriced ($25 for 1 person? For 3 tacos, guac, sour cream and rice milk).
Not exactly fresh food, except for the tortilla chips and the shrimp in the taco.
The pork taco meat is soggy and unflavored. The steak taco meat is hard.
Food doesn’t smell that good…idk, like…old lard. Tomato toppings have that sour smell/taste to them
Decent amount of cilantro.
The beans are runny.
Good horchata/rice milk.
The waiter/manager(?) wasn’t very friendly – not rude, just not friendly.
Overall… a big pass. But I’m spoiled from eating fantastic Mexican food in Chicago.

This is a great authentic Mexican restaurant with an extensive menu. I have never had a bad meal there. They have great cocktails too. It’s reasonably priced also.

I got the #4 combo with a carnita taco. Taco tasted stale and meat had no flavor, also it cost a dollar extra for carnita which the menu didn’t mention but they took that off for me. Enchiladas were good and rice was basic. Food came out extra fast. The free chips and salsa was good, salsa was spicy just the way i like it. Will be returning and may update to give 5 stars, only left 4 because of that taco.

The food was great, except the flautas weren’t as crispy as they are supposed to be. The rice and beans and hot sauce were Excellent! The service by our server was great! He was an attentive young man.
One thing that wasn’t great about thw service was this young chica server, who Wasn’t ours but yet had the audacity to keep on very obviously Glaring at us whenever she made Sure to walk by our table… I used to be a waitress so it became obvious to me what she was doing and why by the third time out of at least 6 times, that she did this… Ive never teeated customers like this before, but ive seen it Many times: we were taking too long to wrap up our visit and finish the last of our food for her liking, so she was Trying to be subtle in letting us ‘know’ that she was waiting for ua to make our table available to new customers as the restaurant was getting pretty packed by this point… It surely is Terrible service though to Ever do that to paying customers that are actually still enjoying their food, drinks and their space while thwy have it! I wish I knew her name, but Ill just give her and her nasty, selfish attitude to God to take care of. She’ll get herself caught up with that attitude with other customers most likely and hopefully get it fixed so she dont loose her job. Other than that, again, great place!

Always very good service whether we dine in or order carry out. Food is always excellent.
